TrevorC - 2010-11-01 7:32 PM Congrats You crazy San Fran fans!!!
I'm betting that Kim and Dad are sharing a cry right now.

Thanks, Trevor and John...

yes, we had a little one...but mostly lots of screaming and hollering!  They made it look easy against the Rangers, but really, all year long it was a battle out there!

wow, now that baseball season has officially ended,  60 more hours a month to train  oops, i meant clean house and organize paperwork...etc...

Had to re-post just so it could compete with the Giants models, and cuz we ladies don't get nearly enough eye candy in here. I'm holding out for the summer run clinic...

And man, that World Series was a thing of beauty as well!!!

YAY GIANTS!!!!!!

Bump.  Let's just keep looking for a while.  And when are these clinics?  I have a wedding in Portland ......  that maybe close enough to warrant a side trip!!

For the guys we can always get our workout done with Zuzana.

Link is suitable for work as much as watching a woman in skimpy clothes do real workouts is suitable....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nTIquNMMw8

She has a whole series of workouts on Youtube.

Hmmmm, a real man crafted of nothing but human muscle, sweat and sex appeal or a well built chica thanks to the invention of silicone and push up sports bras. Love the abs, but you do know those thing aren't real, right?

You guys crack me up.  Well, as a fan of a well built human body, male or female, I vote for "natural"...I guess that rules out Zuzana and Barry Bonds in drag (or not).

Today I had a great swim...I looked at the masters board and did a double take...wasn't sure if I could keep up, but there wasn't a lot of time to move to a slower lane or ask to go last, etc...so jumped right into the middle of the group....and made it on each interval with actual rest!  Very happy...and actually kind of shocked.  For someone who barely makes it in on 2:00/100 on max effort, I got the interval part of the workout done without holding up the group!

Well, I could have responded on a new reply but heck, this is better.  Bump, Bump.   Thanks, Steve it pays to be a lurker today. Sweet!

Looks like everyone is still doing awesome even in the off-season.  Enjoy!

I actually got on my bike twice this weekend only to take a walk yesterday and end up limping by the end.  Stupid knee.  Whatever, I'll keep plugging away.

On the upside I just finished my Christmas shopping for my kids...don't be impressed.  It's easy to be done with big ticket items. Boys are getting the new Xbox 360 with the Kentic motion sensor.   I LOVE the new Kenetic motion sensor for the XBox 360.  Should be lots of fun and active competition without the cheating the Wii let's you do.   Amazon is great!

Keep up the great work!

So I am back checking in...

I have been periodically lurking when time permitted, but this year has been crazy work-wise and otherwise.  I have had to bow out of 5 races this year, including the FL HIM in May, a Sprint and an Oly in Philly in June, the Army 10 miler  in DC a couple weeks ago and (here is the bad news) the Florida IM this weekend.  I have been caught up in the midst of a trial that has been going on in NYC, has extended into a third week and is finally set to go to the jury tomorrow.  I will simply not have time to get to FL to check in by the Th. deadline.

I am so incredibly frustrated by this.  I train and I train and I train and then work intercedes and prevents me from racing.  UGH.  And I was going to do IMFL with my FIL.

I was REALLY looking forward to it.  I know I should be happy that I have a job that I love, especially in the current economic climate.  But this race was something that I had been planning on, looking forward to, training for over the past year, and it was the thing that provided me sanity – knowing that I was going to get to do this for me and for me alone.  It had been my sanctuary of sanity.  Plus, I lost $1000’s on the entry, accommodations, bike transport, etc.

It turns out that my FIL cannot do the race this year either because while training he recently had a bike accident and injured his arm.  So he and I will try to sign up for next year (and I hope are able to get in).  The plan for next year nominally helps with my disappointment.  But only nominally.

OK.  Pity party and rant over.

So sorry, William, that really sucks.  Hope work eases up somewhat...it will be that much more special when you and your FIL can do the race together.

DISLIKE!!!!

That sucks. Time to look on the bright side: You aren't injured! You have a great base for next year! Your FIL isn't doing it so you can't be jealous! (Super sorry to hear about his injury, though, and hope he heals well.) You guys can do it together next year! And, like you said, you have a job that you love and that is probably most imporant. Ironman isn't going anywhere and it will be there when you are ready. Chin up!!

Sorry, man!

OH YEAH!

UPS just ran and dropped off my frame.  It is absolutely awesome.  I will feel like a REAL triathlete  when I get this thing put together.

Will probably take a couple more months as this and the parts I have purchased ... along with traveling to the FL Ironman this weekend and forking over another $575 to register has DEPLETED me of any extra funds.
