cottoneyes - 2010-03-13 7:32 PM Good Sunday morning Team,

thanks for all the congrats, unfortunately lost my big ride time yesterday due to the various visitors dropping in to see Dealaney so have a bit of work to catch up on.

Got my mate Marty through his first tri, he loved it and will do more which I'm happy about as I need him distracted from golf so I can get a chance to beat him (he plays off handicap of 4 so not likely unfortunately).  Our tri season here is coming to an end as we hit autumn so might be a few fun runs and the like between now and the next tri.

Need to know how to post pictures too if someone has simple instructions

It will be time to get creative with the workout with a little one now! Way to help a friend over to the "other" side! Glad he enjoys tri's! Sorry can't help with the pic thing!

Morning team! I didn't get my workouts in yesterday, taught basketball to the little ones, then home to clean and get some house projects done. Took my 2 younger ones to see the wizard of oz at the high school. It didn't get done till almost 10:00 and with loosing an hour I didn't get on the trainer.

I have church then lunch with a friend. Will try to get my trainer ride in today.
Have a great day bEASTies!

I'm taking another rest day today but will definitely make up the missed biking miles before the month in over.

St. Patrick's Day is coming up! But don't "overindulge" too much because we KNOW you want to keep up with your workouts! (Besides, do you REALLY want to drink Green Beer?)

Current Standings:
1st place -- bEASTies - 34.8%
2nd place -- T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - 31.0%

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Keep working out (or I'll zap you. I've just purchased a special GREEN taser. It's my personal way of celebrating St. Patrick's Day.)

*yawn*  I want my hour back darnit!  Up at the arse crack of dawn to see Bryan off this morning.  4:00 came real early.     He's gone to Virginia for a monthish.   Is it wrong that I am looking forward to the peace and quiet in the evenings after the kids are in bed???

Sounds like you need a nap!

No, not wrong at all. When my partner travels I look forward to doing everything MY way for a few days. I always look forward to her return, and that's what really matters.

Exactly! No crazy person to get the kids riled up... no one to streal the down comforter... Still happy to see him when he gets home. Although, I have to admit the longest he's been away is a couple days. Not sure how I would handle a month.

I don't want to go to a bar alone, so there will be no green beer for me

There may be some red wine involved though.

ebshot - 2010-03-12 6:10 PM On a side note, we looked at the Nook today at B&N.  Does anyone have an ereader?  Which one?  Would you recommend it?

I have a friend who has the Kindle and swears up and down that it's the greatest invention of all time.  He absolutely loves it.

Good morning and happy Monday, bEASTies,
Very, very lazy weekend for me.  My only workout was a 15 minute bike ride, but what a ride it was.  I went to the Greater Philadelphia Endurance Expo and got to ride an unbelievably sweet Kestral tri bike.  It was completely loaded, with Zipp wheels, etc.  And it could have been mine for the low, low price of $6,500.  That price doesn't include the cost of my divorce had I decided to buy it.  I'm in a taper week for my half Mary this coming Sunday.  I'll try to get to the gym today, but I have a busy meeting schedule.  Have a great day!

G'morning and Happy Monday, bEASTies!!

I had a blast at my 5k race yesterday!  I had no clue how fast to run since I'd never done a 5k before, didn't particularly train for it, and had run 18 miles on Saturday.  So I just gave myself a pretty conservative goal time based on my usual speed on my shorter runs, taking into account that I've been mainly training for distance and not speed.  I definitely felt like my legs were dragging during the race, but I made it through with a strong push to the finish and beat my goal time by 14 seconds!  Yay!

Then at the post-race party, they were raffling off a bunch of prizes. . . And I won a free party (open bar for 2 hrs) for up to 40 people at a nearby bar.  Scoooore!

Good Morning!

It was crazy busy at the pool this morning; I had to wait 20 minutes for a lane. Then, while hauling myself out of the pool when I was done my foot slipped and I fell back in, scraping my leg in the process. What a way to start the week!

Nice dedication waiting for a lane.  I'd have scrapped the swim and gone out for coffee instead!
