That's fantastic!!! Hmmm... my scale must be broken, the numbers keep going up... me too and I'm sad... feeling ok, it seems? Nope - feeling like a jackhammer is trying to split my brain in two and force my eyeballs out through the front of my skull... and a tad nauseous - but I've taken a couple Oxycodone now so I'm hoping eveything will quiet down to a dull thud at some point! BTW - I think it was too late for the towel under the neck thing you told me about, oh well - something to try for next time! Make an appointment to see an accupunturerist might help |

Oddly enough, my sister and her husband are not back, and it's 12:40 a.m. WHERE ARE THOSE KIDS?!?!?! Also, I promised to think of you all on my run, and I did, and will report back shortly. It's really, really, really weird to just try to think of someone else, and focus on them, for 15 minutes. There were six of you around when I left so that cut my 90-minute run into nice chunks. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: TAN 113 TANtamount to Anarchy Monicaaaaaa! Don't die! I hope the drugs work soon. I thought so so so so so many good thoughts of you, here's the recap of what I remember from YOUR 15 minutes of fame. Well I finished Crowny's 15 minutes with a long warm kiss and you were next, so I thought one good turn deserves another. *MWAH* I saw a hooker with short hair on a motorcycle and she was really cute. She reminded me of you. Now, YOUR 15-minute leg was my food frenzy (if you see Crowny's leg, you'll know why). I stopped at a Circle K and the first thing I saw was ice cream cones, so I bought one called Moo and snorked it right away and it was so creamy and sweet and delicious ... It was SO MONICA! And then I was thirsty so I thought, well, I must have tangerine juice! You'd think ice cream and tangerine juice wouldn't go together so well but that juice was HEAVENLY. I told you I get thirsty for orange juice every time I see you! So I was walking along finishing the juice and eating butter biscuits (whoops, um, yeah, those too) and thinking about how, especially when you were going through the last round of treatments, you would have given anything at that moment just to be out on a run like me. And here I was whining about "having" to run ... I thought about you, and how much you have overcome, and how you've fought your way back time and time again, re-learning everything, kicking cancer's azz ... Monica, I cannot put into words what a hero you are to me. I'm so very, very, very, very, very glad you came by to TAN, and stayed. I need you. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: TAN 113 TANtamount to Anarchy Well now Miss Kate. Last but not least. Yours was the most scattered leg because I was carrying, uh, "groceries" yeah that's it and trying to get home ... but I realized that was kinda fitting, not because you're scattered, but because you're so smart and can wear so many hats ... But see, as I continued to nibble on the butter biscuits, I also thought about what you've taught me. You're a brilliant, outspoken, opinionated woman who's worked very, very hard to get where she's at. I haven't always agreed with you on the boards but by golly I admire the fact that you're a straight shooter and you put your facts where your mouth is. I want to be like that. You also made me think, in much starker terms than ever, how hard some people have to fight to lose weight. I really dig that you have studied so many different things ... Finally, despite all that, you've also mastered the art on the flip side of being assertive: you're a really good listener--you actually pay attention to what people post and respond to that. And you DEEPLY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. Plus, a MELON PILE is the coolest thing to ever come along since a MELON PRESS. |
