How's the Mio Link been working out for you?

What a great name!  Emma spins when she's excited.  OK, mostly when shes excited because or breakfast or dinner or treats.  Not because she's excited to see us or anything!  ha!

What would the call name be for Cutie Patootie?  Because maybe it's too close to Poh.  I mean, it could be bad of two Mastiffs came running at you!

I like it!  You could call her LLADNEK Spin Cycle, still call name Dizzy.  It'd also have somewhat of a tri tie-in that way.

Orthotics: definitely a pain at first but worth the adjustment.  I had a great pair of custom ones that I lost last year and I still miss them.  Haven't brought myself to shell out the $350 to replace them though.  So far I've managed okay.  Sorry to hear about the boat.  That sucks!

Sorry to hear about the neuroma and your boat but glad to hear the irreplacibles (family, friends) are fine.  I've had friends with Morton's neuroma issues...with varying results...I'll spare you the horror stories.  Hopefully the orthotics help your issue!

To be perfectly honest, I just figured out how to link my 310XT with it (I had to ask for help here on the forums on how to pair it; I'm such a noob).  It's worked just fine when pairing it with my phone over Bluetooth.  I think things will go smoothly.  Quite happy not to be using a chest strap anymore!

I've seen one of those suits first hand when I was in Florida.

I think this might be the more aero version. Also, sans top hat.

Manatees, I need some training advice.  For my run training, I'm doing 6-7 five-minute intervals with increasing amounts of running and decreasing amounts of walking.  I've been changing the ratio after doing 2 sessions and I'm running 2x/week.  My goal is to just be able to run a full 5k with minimal to no walking; I'm not all that concerned about time.  My very first tri (a sprint) is in August, so I'm mostly just trying to build a base.

I just started doing 3:30 running/1:30 walking.  By about the 4th rep, I'm gasping for air in the run.  If I stop for 30 seconds or so, I'm okay and can go back to running.  Do you think I should hang out at the 3:30/1:30 for a few weeks and let myself take that little break, or drop back to 3/2 for a little while longer?  Or should I be doing something different altogether?

During the run interval, can you run slower? So that you aren't gasping?

I'm not sure I can run any slower.  I already feel like I'm running as slow as molasses in January.  Also, when I say I stop to catch my breath, I'm actually walking, not completely stopped.  Maybe I'm starting out too fast and trying too hard to keep a steady pace?  I'm typically doing ~2.8 mi. in ~30 min.

Start slower if you can and really work on decreasing that walk and increasing the block of running as you have been, even if it feels reeeaaaaallly slow.

A lot of this is just willing yourself to keep running. I know it's difficult in the beginning but you can do it!

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
