Random observation:  I cannot hear the song "The Final Countdown" without thinking of Gob Bluth and picturing his magic act.

Ok, Manatees, opinion time: what does one wear to an interview? Position is at a hospital with other PhDs/MDs/MD&PhDs.  Do I have to wear a suit?  Would that be the best option?  I don't currently own one, but I'll get one if I have to.

Interview = suit, but I work in a suit intensive industry (Banking).

Have a fun, but not necessarily fast race (they don't have to be mutually exclusive) *coughBencough*

Hang out after the race (might be some drinking involved, maybe, possibly)

Just a little PSA

I like how you think!  This could be fun and dangerous.  Should we warn the city/state we meet in about our meet up?

Quite possibly.  I encourage all who are interested to contribute to the thread in the main forum.  This is going to be the shiznit.

Oh, and Salty thought of a great name: The Glitter Tri

We may have to ban competing on tri bikes. Just spit ballin here...

Remember that tricked-out gold plated banana seat number she posted a couple months ago? Think that, an outrageous suit, and glitter in T1, and you're starting to get the idea.

Our main goals should be to bring joy to the "real racers" and each other and, of course, to meet up and have a good time.

I just don't understand how RDs won't be fighting over us...

I'm in but only of the women get Wonder Woman Tri Suits!

What if I wear my Wonder Woman tutu?  Is that acceptable?

Totally.  That would be perfect.

It doesn't have to be revealing, just fun, preferably outrageous.

Btw, I think Ben is ignoring me...

That's my thinking too, would need a good reason NOT to wear a suit to about any type of job. But are things different for the ladies?

Do you think we could roll out of T1 on a bicycle built for two and a bubble machine on the front? It might be worth the DQ

Actually a staff scientist position, so higher level than a post-doc.  And yes, it's in Philly at a hospital.

Sounds like suit is the way to go.  I don't want to be underdressed.  I have fewer issues being overdressed.

We've already established the tandem precedent. Perhaps we could trick out the bike to look like a bull and wear sombreros on top of our helmets, you know, for nostalgia.

Yep, definitely a suit.  I got one JUST for interviewing with law firms for a paralegal position and haven't worn it since.  I can't say whether it helped me get the job or not, but I'd rather be over than under dressed.

BTW, Salty, I'm all for getting DQd, but I just want to be able to finish the race.  Though getting pulled from the course and possibly arrested would be pure win of a different level.
