I am just refusing to get on a scale today. Having some sort of low level crud has turned me from basic lethargic to downright lazy. Food has been okay, but no movement other than a couple little workouts this week.

Ugh!

Tomorrow is another day, sez Scarlett.

If I counted all the pounds I've lost 2 and 3 and 6 times over, I've probably dropped 20 pounds during this challenge...

Right there with you...holding "steady" at 169.8. After going up to 170.x and down to 168.x...

Happy Friday, all!

My inconsistency in eating these past couple of weeks has proven costly.  Really need to get back on track.  The odd thing is, I've had a couple of decent weeks of training, just not eating.

The really frustrating part is that I know I would have much better workouts if I was better about the food.

All I can really say this week is   Bleechhhhh

Weighing in the morning after the Broncos game and making fudge for a cookie exchange is not a good thing.

NOt hoping on the scale today...had a late workout last night which means tons of water and dinner at 9 at night.  Will get on tomorrow, although I have a party tonight at the bike shop....of course the owner's brother in law is a gourmet chef, the food at party is always....AMAZING!

thanks,  bad thing is i feel fatter than i look.  i do have a lot of fat around my mid section and lower butt area.  i just hope i dont loose to much muscle def.  i'm trying hard to get that body builder look. dont want to be huge just a nice form. figure if i get to 145 (8 lbs more) then i can maybe start with some heavy weights to get the size i want with staying around 155.

went and bought some jeans last weekend coz wife said i have to get cloths that fit. i actually bought 30/32 could have got 29/32 but they didnt have them.  would like to get into 28's or 29's.  i was wearing 34's not to long ago.  was wondered when i started wearing a belt to hold up jeans coz i never did when i was younger, after losing this weight and getting the 30's i dont wear a belt. must be when your waist gets bigger than your hips you need one?

that livestrong band is my third one.  dont care what they say about lance. all i know is i'm not the cyclist today without him.  havent missed watching a day of the tour since 98. wife gets mad coz i record so much bike racing on the dvr it gets full.

Last time I hopped on a scale, I was in uniform and it told me 242, for a 2 lb gain.  Meh, whatever.  I feel great and people are saying I'm looking like I'm slimming down.  Mission accomplished.

Hey all - holiday party this weekend...not my best moment(s).

Home with a sick kidlet today - hoping that I don't get whatever is going around, although I will say, I'm being terribly productive so far working at my kitchen table.

Our thread is pretty quiet lately.   I'm still bouncing between 139 - 141.  Weighing daily seems to work better for me so thats what I'm doing.

The weekend was not so great for my eating.. went to an event yesterday and ate a piece of cake and two cookies.  On top of that my hubby baked a chocolate cake the other day which is hard for me to resist.

This week will be super busy.  I'm working some overtime, my granddaughter and my son's birthday is on sunday and I haven't even decorated yet.  so much to do.

As for exercise I've had random bouts of foot/leg cramping and pain at night that may be a result of running but I haven't really monitored it, which I need to do to find a cause.  It happens at night and disrupts my sleep which I really need.

So DOWNERS - what is going on with all of you?

I a experiencing some frustration. I am running tons now, about 112k a week for the past 4 weeks, so I am beat. I have completely abandoned the idea of diet control, although I am binging a bit less. My problem is, with this volume I am doing, if I don't eat I feel like I am going to fall right over. The sugar consumption is crazy, I had 5 or 6 cookies this morning.

Anyways, didn't mean to invite you to my pity party. The weird part is I am getting thinner. My weight has been stuck at 186 for the past 3 weeks but my pants are darn near hanging off me. I got suit pants the other day, and there is no vanity sizing in suits, and got a 40T. My last suit was a 44 R. Like what is happening.

Also, yoga has completely fallen off, I am too beat at night even to do one pushup.

I am still not eating vegetables for snacks. I swear if I do this I would cut my sugar intake by huge.

So yeah, that is what is going on.

I'm pretty steady at 128 one pound down. I am not really doing anything special but logging my nutrition.

I'd like to take 10lbs off by April, but not sure if that's gonna happen.

I am eating pretty good.. cept for this weekend. We road tripped to Orlando and ate some yummy stuff...

Back on track this week.

Hey Downers, hope you all had a great weekend.

I have been slowly losing a bit of weight here and there. Started at 160 and was at 155 this morning. Weighed myself yesterday after my first cx race and was at 153! I know that's just water weight but I'll take it.

Would love to get to 150 by the end of January, which is when we are going to Tulum for a couple of days.

Hey Downers, hope you all had a great weekend.

Here's how my weekend went... Saturday at least.

The daughter and I ran the Frosty's 5K in Virginia Beach, VA.  Here's the results:
Daughter: Chip time = 38:41.  Overall place = 921 of 1791.  AG place = 22 of 67.  Of all females = 551 of 1229
Me:  Chip time = 38:41.  Overall place = 920.  AG place = 43 of 72.  Of all males = 370 of 562.

For Jocelyn, this was an awesome performance, especially for her first race ever.  Funny part is that I let her set the pace; I was kinda just along for the workout and the joy of running a race with my daughter.  She held onto a 12:29/mile pace while socializing with ANYONE WHO WOULD RESPOND TO HER (honestly, it was hilarious) and while zig-zagging ALL OVER 2 traffic lanes.  After all the zig-zagging we did, I'd swear it was more of a 6K than a 5K.  :-
For me, I felt like I could have held the pace ALL DAY LONG.  I honestly feel like I could have finished well in the top half had I run at my pace.

Jocelyn has already agreed to run the same race next year.  She insists, however, that she gets to run by herself at her own pace.  She's "mandated" that I run in the same race, but I have to run at my pace and leave her to her own devices.  :-)  I agreed... I think she'll be save... there were TONS of Law Enforcement around.

Great Job for Jocelyn.    I got the same "mandate" from my 10 year old.  I ran one 5k with her and since then have completed the same 5k and  4 mile.

Great job running for you and Jocelyn!

Last week my 5-yr old nephew ran his third 5k, came in at 35 minutes, a 14 minute PR and the first kid across the finish line!  No training and no speed-work....lol I doubt that lack of training would yield the same results for me!

Way too many parties and dates in my life to be strict about eating and drinking, lol!  At least at the bike shop party on Friday I didn't have the dessert.  It was some vanilla custard cream with a cookie.....the shop owner's brother in law is a gourmet chef and caters the party every year!  The food is better than at most weddings,  They gave everyone a tasting plate....sooo yummy!

DITTO!

I have a goal to break the 25 minute mark.  I wanted to do it at a "Beat the Ball 5K" that starts at 2335 on 12/31/12.  I have duty on the 1st, so it's not gonna happen.  :-(

I will break the 25 minute mark!!
