A buddy of mine named his border collie Shimano.  It fits the dog, but the 3 syllable name is kinda awkward.  And it wouldn't work if you ride Campy, like me

No Chippy? C'mon! That's an awesome name!!!! And then you could say phrases like "Chippy! Stop peeing on the carpet!" How awesome is that?

I wanted to name him "my balls" So you can say I have to go home and play with my balls, or i have to go walk my balls. My roommate didn't buy it either and named his dog Bode.

Slight hyjack.  True story.  I work at a vet clinic and there is a client with a cat named Sex.  He will call the clinic and say "I need to make an appointment for Sex."  then when he arrives he says something along the lines of "would you like Sex on the floor or on the table."  Its horrible.  He has even admitted to naming his cat so that he could say these things to the (female dominated profession) technicians.  Its rude, verbally abusive and just disgusting.  

Please, please don't name your dog anything along those lines.  Seems pretty funny when shooting the sh*t with your buddies, but have a little respect for your pet and the people you will encounter through out your pets life.

You know its just GOTTA be Kolohe! It just fits! What puppy doesn't have some rascal in him? And the Hawaiian connection? C'mon! There is no other viable option!

Okay... I've been told that Kolohe is a good name but it has too many syllables so here are a few others from the Hawaiian Language that you might like.

Kula (koo-la): Gold, Golden

Koa (Ko-ah): Warrior, Strong (its also a very sought after wood here in the islands for bowls, furniture, paddles, ect.

Hoku (ho-koo): Star

Moana (mo-ah-nah): Ocean, Sea

Holo Nui (Ho-lo New-ee): Fast Runner

Koke (ko-ke): Quick runner, swift

Kekoa (Ke-ko-ah): Brave, Courageous

Keokeo (Ke-o-ke-o): White (we use to have a dog named this, Keo for short)
