Subject: RE: What's your inseam length compared to your height? granted i dont know what your torso length is, but for your height the average inseam length for a male 70" is 33.74in ( http://robyn.faeriemanor.org/BodyProportions.phtml), so you must be pretty close to the ideal....so i wouldnt worry about having short legs I'm 179cm tall and 86.5cm inseam. (for those of you who prefer to measure things around the groin using King George's thumbs that's 70.5" tall and a 34" inseam ) I always though my legs were long relative to my body but I guess I'm kinda normal (at least in this one respect ). From what I see on this thread, either the majority of BT'ers have short legs (relative to their bodies ) or are not measuring proplerly. My understanding is that a cycling inseam measure is NOT the same as a tailor's inseam measure. To do a cycling inseam measure, take a big, thick book and stick the spine tightly between your legs to simulate sitting on a saddle. Then measure the distance from the bookspine to the floor. |
