Hey team

I just got back from the pool. Since a little while I was wondering how long I can swim non stop. So today I decided to try it out. I jumped in the pool and just swam, tried to find my perfect speed so I would not get tired too fast.

I was happy to see that after 1.6km I was still feeling good. Now 1.6km in 40 minutes is really slow but at least I know that I can swim that long now I am pretty sure I could get to 2km without any problem, which is a good news for me since last September when I started swimming I had trouble swimming 100 meters Tongue out

Have a great day everyone!

Back on track this week! Spin class & 2500 yard swim done this morning. I may have to modify my run goal.... I seem to have developed shin splints, and I want to make sure I don't make it worse by pushing too much on the run. I will likely switch from a distance to a time goal, and try to substitute some aquajogging/eliptical work for the run until the shin splints are better

Morning team!

Morning run done, today was hills day. After looking at the laps on my watch when I came back home I realised I didn't push enough in the hills =/ I will have to fix that.

Tonight is trainer ride, 1 hour or so.

What is everyone up to?

I did a little over an hour on the eliptical & stair climber thingy at the gym in place of an actual run today, plus some strength training.

It's supposed to almost 60 degrees here tomorrow - so I'm planning on a nice outdoor bike ride! WOO-HOO!!

I'm thinking of giving water running a try later this week... has anyone tried it?

A run, hopefully some yoga.  Terrible night's sleep last night, couldn't get to sleep, then Toddleator screaming from nightmare, then more yelling first thing this morning 5am-ish.  Don't really fell like running, but I'm gonna anyway, pace may be off, we'll see.

Got a nice 30 mile ride in today. Weather was GORGEOUS!! It's going to spoil me, though... getting back out to ride when the weather falls back into the 20's & 30's is gonna be tough after today!!!

I'm behind 'cause of Wednesday.  I can pro'lly make up the run today, and get one of the 2 hours in with a spin class, but not sure about the second hour.  I don't have the gear for cold rides, and no trainer.

So if I don't hit it RIGHT today I hope y'all be forgiving.

Hope everyone else is fantastic!

Happy training!

I've missed a few workouts this week.  I was really busy at work.  Today is not going to be a rest day - get yesterday's run in today.  I'll try to add in some extra time this weekend.

I have had a couple of stumbles this week, Monday didn't get in a workout and today went to the Y and the pool was closed. Instead went for  a 7 mi run so I guess that counts.

Am on target for the month..haven't missed a workout in 10 weeks so this is pretty normal for me.

Next week is my rest week and I get my first day off since Xmas but still have 3 runs including a 10K, 4 bikes and two swims. My new coach has a very different thought as to what a rest week is compared to my last coach.

Enjoy your training everyone!
