It was humid and not quite foggy when I headed out for my ride this morning. The sun started burning through about an hour in and it was mostly sunny by the end. I kept reminding myself that this wasn't a race, nor a training ride for a race, but I still rode pretty fast: 30 miles in just under 2 hours. This pictures show a typical stretch of road on today's route and the humid haze.

Nice picture! That looks like it would be a nice ride.

And yes, you DID ride very fast.

That's one of my favorite stretches of road to ride on, good pavement and slightly downhill. During the summer it's through corn fields and a horse farm or two.

Did 34 miles in just under two and a half hours.  I want to calculate the elevation, it was really hilly and my quads were killing me by the end of the ride.  Guess it's clear I need to ride outsdie more.

Got in a few miles run yesterday but life intervened today. I had birds going into 2 different vents and building nests in my house! Spent all day it seemed getting supplies and getting them out of there. Hope to ride tomorrow after a local Dog show.

Got a smidgen under 40 hilly & misty miles in yesterday and will get 10 miles of running in today.

Colesdad - what dog show?  I think you live pretty close to where I do. While riding yesterday I saw a dog show going on. I forget what road this was on. I'm not into maps and whatnot. Here was the route

There's a yearly dog show at the site (Mercer County Park) of the NJ State Triathlon. It's only 4 miles from my house and the lady who sold us our dog runs the whole thing so she sends us tickets every year.

Have a couple of questions;

I logged a bike and a run today to the spreadsheet and it did not tabulate automatically like they have before in the challenges...is it supposed to?

Also...this was a brick and i know we are supposed to get some extra credit for this...any decision been made on how that is done?...(no body told me we would have to do math this month)

The easy answer first: I fixed the spreadsheet error and you are now auto %ing.

Not so easy answer: there's supposed to be a 5% bonus for multisport workouts, but I don't yet have the answer for exactly how they are calculated. Hopefully it will be "math made easy"

I did my first duathlon Saturday so I just put in the mileage (plus 5%) on the tracker, and included today's recovery spin.

Way to go East Coasters!

Greetings Team:
Sorry for the late sign in, but the family and I have been OOT for several days, and we were without internet for several days. I'm not sure how we survived without logging on to the internet for three consecutive days. I did take my bike along and was able to get in a couple of rides and one brick. It looks like everyone is off to a strong start. Ride Hard.

I had a nice weekend. I got a 39.68 mile ride in with the misty rain and the fog on Saturday. Then on Saturday we did a 10 mile race. I will hopefully do a short ride at lunch today.

Got in a spin class this morning and ran home from the gym. We are supposed to have great weather most all of the week so  no excuses from this area (Atl.) to not be out doing the Hipster Thing.

BTW...I have not added any bonus % to the 2 bricks that I have posted to the spreadsheet as I have not heard a final determination as to how that will be done.

Train hard and be safe everyone.

I'm sure this was posted somewhere and I just can't find it...

When do we have to have results for a week posted?

The weeks are ending on Saturdays (10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st). Results should be posted by midnight on Sunday. Weekly standing will be pulled and posted on Mondays.

I'm in the process of updating the spreadsheets. Once I've finished there will be a column for the number of bricks or multi-sport races, and then the bonus time will be calculated automatically.

It will be 5% per brick for the whole week.

So far I am on track with my plan...got in a swim and a run today.  This following a training plan is making me a lot more sore than my old training method.  Guess that means it's working.

I have another "Brick" question for the Grand PuBa's that are in charge.

I swam this morning and did a 1 hr. run but I had to drive about 10 minutes from the pool to the trail that I run on.  There is no where to run around the pool so I don't have much of a choice.  I got right out of the pool and left and ran as soon as I got to the trail (wasn't really dry yet   )Just wanted to make sure this would be counted as a brick.  I am OK with it being either...I just need to know before I  log it.

Thanks and everyone train hard and train safe.

In my non-Grand-Puba-status opinion, I would call that a brick
