I'm in for 225 miles (184.5*1.2 + rounding), and $20, for the XXers.

Last month was my first month biking (ever), so I'm psyched.

I have yet to break the 200 mile per month barrier, so count me in this month.  I need something to get me motivated!!!

Last month: 178 miles

178 + 20% => 213.6

June Goal:  215 miles

Pledge: $20

Thanks to the Bear for organizing this, once again

    No, Zakk.

500 is one of the minimums. If someone had a great month and did 900 miles in May, we aren't holding them to doing 120% of that (1080 miles). In that case, we are letting them drop back to 500 miles.

You can set your goal as high as you want, just remember if you don't make it you're hurting the team as well as yourself.

Wanted to bump this back up to the front page and let everyone know they have until Friday, June 10 to become a part of the challenge. Looks like we have 19 guys and 33 ladies, by my count.

Not wanting John to call me a slacker (AGAIN), I'll play along with this one. Besides, I've been itching to show off my new and improved, tri-hardened butt

Sign me up for $30 and 300 miles (my 20% plus a little extra as I ramp up for a century in mid July without dropping my swimming and running). Besides, that's more than the 200 that I had planned for this month anyway.

Let me just be the first to say....you do not need to lose a challenge to do this.  It is perfectly acceptable for you to send pics at any time!

Just tell her it's a compliment - I love it when my husband get's ogled!  At our ages (41 and 44) we take the compliments where we can get them, then compare notes and tell each other "you still got it, honey"!

Or, otherwise, I will be more than happy to accommodate you and beat your butt at the challenge.  Not pedalling my butt "off", but pedalling my new, improved one "on".   One of the more awesome benefits of biking, as you have stated!

So is this thing based on sheer numbers?? I mean if they outnumber us almost 2 to 1, does that get taken into consideration?

I guess there would be lots of ways to measure - total miles, average miles per person, average % increase from last month, etc...

If I understand it correctly, its % to goal, so the number of participants doesn't really matter except in the averages.

Can we still get in this deal? The month of May I had 328 miles, so put me down for 400 for June and $20 donation. Oh, I've got 80 in the bank so far this month!

OK, max, is that for the girls or the guys? After seeing your cross-dress shot, I think you could go either way.
