kcarroll - 2010-11-07 10:43 AM Happy Sunday. After a week of icing various aching parts of my legs and feet, I re-entered the active life. 1st time at the pool in months. It wasn't pretty.

Laughing  At least you got in.  Good for you!                      (I haven't been swimming for about 6 weeks Frown )

Finished an 11 mile run today so 29 miles for the month so far.  Out of town all week, so we see how this week goes.  44F and drizzle, at least I beat the slush that was falling after church.

Good morning!!!!  What do you have planned for today????  I will be getting a swim done followed by some yoga.  Tonight, I teach Spinning class.  (None of those activities will count for our challenge, though.)  Have a great day!

This afternoon I have another 5 miles of running.  Yesterday was pretty laid back.  My only exercise was walking a few miles with my DH and puppy.  It was a lot of fun and beautiful fall scenery.  Also a walk with my DH is actually some exercise for me since I have to walk pretty fast to keep up with him  Smile

Brrr cold out today, probably should have worn more than just shorts and a t-shirt, probably 35 ish wind chill.  But I ran a 5k at a 7:46 mpm pace.  Wow, that is 30 seconds faster than last Monday's run!  Well ya it is supposed to be a recovery run... but it was soo cold.  It felt good though, only 16 seconds slower than the pace I want for Boston... we shall see.  For now it is just 3 more miles on the monthly running goal and base building pre mary plan.  Hr still way too high for the speed I am running, drn fitness needs to be coming back faster.

I will try to get in a 45 minute bike ride on the trainer tonight.  That aero position gona feel soooo good on the post opperative shoulder.  Hopefully I get in 2 more stretching sessions as well.

Dee,
Are you going to do the Vally Girl Tri in Spokane?  I am going up there to do it with my sister.

Christmas stockings are huge.  I am making them for my cousin and his family since I have his name for Christmas.  They are about 4 feet tall and quilted.  Takes more time then I think.  That is why I need to put it on the challenge.  Make sure he gets them by ChristmasLaughing

I don't know about the tri.  I will have to look up the particulars.  If I do we should try to meet up.  I am planning on doing the Beaver Freezer in Corvalis, Oregon in April.

Those sound like great stockings... very fun!  I am not sure that my granddaughter's stocking will be completely finished by Christmas, but since she is only 8 mos old perhaps she won't notice!  Embarassed

Oh my heck, it snowed here yesterday.  Crazy.  It's gone today but still, way too early in the year for snow.

I have been a bit of a slacker in regards to training.  I must get back at it today.  Trainer ride tonight after parent-teacher conferences.  I hate parent-teacher conferences.  Two out of three are always good and then there is the one child's who always throws a wrench into things.  Oh well, no matter.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey Team! Still have some dizzyness when I move my head too fast, so I will probably give swimming another day or so. (luckily I have a swim meet this weekend and those sessions will count towards my final goal...so no worries...) I might give the trainer a shot this afternoon depending on how my head is feeling.

I'm still trying to fight off this darned cold, so I'm taking it easy today too. Tomorrow I'm up late in the ED, so I don't want to go in to that worn down.  So I'll have to make up some trainer time...  On a better note, I'm down to 132 today, and my calorie logging is definately keeping me more honest.

Got a run in yesterday and ST today.  I did lose a pound but that just brought me back to where I started on Nov 1st.

Hmmm, my goal was to lose 2 pounds this month.  Does it matter that it is the same pound repeated?   LOL

What's going on everyone?  I swam and did yoga today.  That's not part of the challenge but it felt pretty good anyway.  Tomorrow is a running and cycling day for me.  Cheers!

Yay 43 miles down for the month.  I was able to do the past 3 runs at a 8 mpm pace... felt good.
Did a bike ride just to get that back into the routine, just a short 10 miles.

And first time in the pool since the bike wreck.  I could do breastroke slowly, but freestyle=painful on the left shoulder.

Another run in the books.  My first two goals (run & ST) are doing well.   Laughing
My weight goal I wont really know until the end of the month.  My 4th goal is still at zero.  Frown

If the weather cooperates this weekend I will try to get in a bike ride to help on my 4th goal.
