9 mile run this am.  the nice little "cold" front we had is long gone and the humidity was back, so that was a bit disappointing.

I can't believe xmas is only 2 weeks away.  I'm going to have to start running more miles to offset all the calories i've been  and will be taking in!

And puppies!! :-) We leave Tuesday for So Cal. What are you wearing to run in out there? I'm not sure what to pack.

Run #10 for the month done -- 10 miles on this chilly, overcast morning.

Running clothes for socal ? the time of day make a difference up to 40F change between night and day shorts and shirt during the day but maybe a long sleeve top or jacket if you are running when its dark or before 9 am . I wear cotton gloves when i run i the morning .

Van Paulus -- I'm not racing, just daily running. I'm thinking capris will be okay? I'll also be running at elevation in New Mexico and Arizona as we come across the southwest. So gloves, hat, jacket, etc. I'm not bringing my running light, so I won't be tempted to run in the dark in strange places.

Got my one mile session for today in this evening. I'm still a little sore from my long run yesterday. I'm hoping for 4-5 miles tomorrow. On Tuesday we leave for New Mexico, so getting my daily run in is going to be challenging from then until New Year's Day.

van paulus, great pic with the pups, and awesome work on that climb. Truly earns its name, the Beast.

We took the Aussies out for a sweet trail run this weekend. Needless to say, we all had a blast:

Yup at this stage Team Apres Ski is solidly in First Place with already 200 total miles completed ,

Team Bobsleigh is running second X-Country in third and Ice hockey is fourth. Lets hope having players coming back from IR will spruce up its results.

Slept in this am, so i had to run after work; which i hate.  I did, however, get 30 minutes of my new p90x2 workout in before heading to work.  I really felt that workout during the run; which is why i ended up only running 3.5 v. the 5 i had planned.  After the run, i finished the p90x2 workout.  I think I feel it tomorrow!

I was able to run 6x last week so that was a good thing...capped off with 11+ on my favorite trails on Sunday.  I took monday off and got a 8 miler done in the morning and a 4 miler at lunch yesterday.  Good thing because it is raining like a som-beech here..still no dang snow!  It is supposed to be 50 tomorrow...in MI in december..come on.

We're in Arizona tonight -- 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon. Am I excited?

And I've still been running, a little. This is why I chose sessions instead of mileage. I did 1.05 miles on a treadmill last night (yuck) and 1.50 miles running on a pueblo ruin trail this afternoon -- half of it was volcanic cinders -- a very nice running surface.

Tomorrow -- Grand Canyon. Woot!

Its been a great week/month so far. I'm enjoying reading everyone's updates. Those are some pretty incredible numbers. After today's 4km, I've reached 57% of my goal and I felt like I wanted to run longer. I stopped though because i'm trying to keep to Barry P's 3/2/1 plan. If only the cycling was going as well. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I'm trying to do that plan too but keep missing my shorter runs.  It would definitely be easier if running was the only thing we were doing.

This weather is driving me crazy!!  I can't dress for it.  Wednesday it was 2 degrees and I wore too many layers and was stripping half way in to my run.  Today was 5 degrees but felt like -4 with the wind and I couldn't get warm.  I'll be happy when it's just freaking cold all the time and you just put as many layers on that will allow you to still be able to move!!

Happy running peeps!!
