Might be adding the Bone Island HIM in January 2013 if I can convince the wife that Key West in January is a good idea, not thinking that it will be too hard I want to do Bone Island! I'm just concerned about winter HIM/IM training (and burning too much vacation in January). Leaning marathon in January/February instead. I'll definitely suggest the Charleston Marathon if you go that route, same weekend as Bone Island. I figure I did most of a marathon plan before injury/illness last winter so I should be able to handle HIM training now that I have a bike trainer. Plus after this year I think we will need a nice party/no stress vacation, little brothers wedding and everything that goes with it- I didn't think weddings could have so much drama and it's not until october! I'm also deviously planning on having a great time with the wife so I can push for that to be my first full in 2014. |

Also, getting my extra time in the pool is easier when the outdoor pool is open. Running outside in the winter is a lot easier for me than riding outside, thus the marathon thoughts. |

This is an accurate description, although I probably speak the same way. I'm originally from Wisconsin and have been living in Richmond for the past 8 years. I'll hold off on the rest of the bio until I know if Yanti is kicking me out or not. And I've met Jen - I don't think her southern is quite as pronounced as mine. I'm a linguophile and irritatingly pick up accents rather quickly. Yeah! Nice to see you here, Jen, since we didn't get to see you at Monument. (Good call - the rainy cold was suck.) |

I've got yoga and a ride this afternoon zzzz ZZZZZ zzzZZZZzzzzZZZZZ That's what I did some of today during the day, and plan to do a whole lot more of it tonight. I'm actually getting to sleep (not just to bed) around midnight these days (SHOCK!) and I'd like to keep it that way. |

My knees gripe at the thought of running these days. I'm thinking if I can take off 25 more lbs, they'll be a little less whiney. I know the summer camp woes. My son only has a 5 week summer break, one of which we will be on vaca, and I still cringe at finding just the right thing for him. |

Mine was removed last year, after the WDW HM. Not fun.My story...gall bladder surgery. Ouch! I'm amazed you were able to run with the pain. I gave up after my twelve mile run while marathon training because I couldn't handle it, but that was definitely NOT a race! |

My family makes fun of me all the time for saying "y'all," but really there isn't another word that works quite the same way. The Midwestern version is "you guys" but that takes longer to say. I am sad I missed Monument. I would have loved to run, but I was not ready. We were all kind of sick, too, so I didn't want to risk taking E out and standing around in the cold/rain. However, Judi and I are both planning on doing Patriot's, so you should do that! |

What's on tap for today for everyone? I've got yoga and a ride this afternoon Good morning!!!! I generally do two-a-days on Tuesday and Thursdays. Tonight is especially exciting because my evening run is an adventure run. Once a month a running store puts on a run. You are given a map and have one hour to run all around the city picking up raffle tickets from specific locations. At the end, you throw all of your raffle tickets in and there is a big party where you drink beer and hope they draw your ticket. They always have really great prizes like new shoes and garmin running watches but of course I never win |

If it does rain, I think I'll drive to the gym and run the treadie, will just have to take a longer lunch. Then tonight is masters swim night. Tuesdays swim was easy, expecting something more challenging tonight. |

I tried to run this am; for the last 3 weeks I've been dealing with a hamstring injury and every so often do a "test' run to check its healing. Well, it's not healed This pm I will spend about 1 hour on the trainer. At least I'll attempt to spend an hour on the trainer - on tuesday, my bike fell off 2x! |

My family makes fun of me all the time for saying "y'all," but really there isn't another word that works quite the same way. The Midwestern version is "you guys" but that takes longer to say. Exactly! "Y'all" is so easy and "you guys" is so hard. I always feel kinda like a southern poser though after "y'all" comes flying out of my mouth. ...Anyway... I tried to swim this AM, but has to cut it (very) short because I seem to have injured my shoulder. I ran straight to the PT department in the hospital I work at and asked if they had any openings today...I think I actually had tears in my eyes (pain and stress) and they said YES and got me in right then and there! So I've never had an injury before and I hope to get this one feelin better fast. Tonight is a high rpm bike on the trainer. (I'm training for IMWI in september - it'll be my third)

Being a Canadian, I don't have one (close enough to Seattle-English that you can't tell, anyway). We just like to say Eh? a lot. As for training today, I am supposed to be doing a 75 min run. May move the day off to today however, as I am feeling fatigued. Another ice hockey player here, and had lead legs last night at my game...Game went to a shootout, with every player on both teams shooting before a winner was finally declared. Sad; we are worse at the shootout than the Canucks . Have a great day (or sleep) all! |
