Put me down for run 150 miles Swim 20,000 yards. I hope we don't loose, I have not figured out how to change my avator from the last challenge I was in i vote that everyone in the challenge pass a mandatory "can you change your avatar" course... to avoid the "i don't know how to change mine" |

Extreme Veteran 787 Glendora, CA. | Subject: RE: Rich Miller Reporting for first week! I'm reporting in my numbers for August 1st through 3rd. (I'm heading out of town in a few minutes and won't be back until Monday afternoon/evening). 8/1/2007: 3.5 Mile Run (Planned a 3 Mile Run) 8/2/2007: 5.42 Mile Run (Planned a 3 Mile Run) ***** 8/3/2007: 3000 Yd. Swim (Planned a 3000 Yd Swim) I'm actually ahead of my planned workouts! I hope this is how you wanted it reported and I'm reporting in the right place! THANKS! Rich Cyclingmaniac ***** Do I get extra points? I was ready to complete a 7 Mile run (2 loops of the Rose Bowl) when I heard that crunch that all cyclists hate to hear! I was the first person to the cyclist while another person called 911. Stayed with the cyclist keeping him down until Paramedics, Police and Ambulance arrived..... Concussion?, broken collar bone? Blood already welling up in left eye, so I suspect some hemorraging up in front lobe of the brain/skull(?). Wasn't in the right frame of mind to finish the rest of the run! |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! ASSuming we report here--is that right? My totals include today (Sunday) but is that actually the start of a new week? Should we have separate B/G reporting threads and keep this one for the smack talk? Is Kristin our team leader? Should I just stop asking questions and run and swim more? 8/1/07 - 8/4/07 Run 8.5 mi Swim 7000yd |

Extreme Veteran 832 Podunk County, MN | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! Good week, Aya! Apparently I am the team lead, despite my utter lack of experience in such matters. Good thing that women have superior organizational skills and can accomplish amazing things while swimming and running, too. I think we're running weeks Sunday to Saturday, is that right? So the first week's totals are 8/1 to 8/4. I think a suggestion made below was to have this thread be for reporting, and the one that's not pinned be for smack talk, which makes sense to me. Although smack talk is never really out of place in my book. Finally, I have a manner for arbitration. I rolled my ankle in my tri yesterday, and it's looking like a lunker of a sprain. I tried to get out and run on it today, just to test it out and do a couple of miles, and I only made it one block before walking home. Would everyone be ok with me downgrading my run totals slightly to compensate for taking a week off to rest it? I'd bring my run down to 38 miles. I'll still get my swims in. |

Expert 626 Las Vegas, NV | Subject: RE: August - 2nd Annual Boy's vs Girls Swim / Run Challenge !! Kanders, You are correct on all the issues. Well responded. To the matter of injury on the run, what would like everyone else think about it? Let's keep the results coming in everyone. If you don't report it, we will be going to your logs, and verifying the results anyway, so don't forget to keep your training log filled in. Happy Monday to all, and Happy Training!! We should know by tonight (or tomorow morning with a issue I raised down the page) were we stand from the first week results. Another issue, it appears that a lot of people don't look at this site on weekend, do we want to have training go from Monday through Sunday for simplicity? Have until 1400 on Mondays to log your wekkend training, and we will have the spread sheet update up by tuesday Morning? How does this sound? One more day to register for this challenge! If anyone is still interested, make a finite decision, and make a commitment!! All rules will be final as off tomorow morning!! Know, following is the latest update on the roster as of 8/6/07 07:29 PST

FYI, in previous challenges we had rules to allow Goal adjustment due to injury/Illness for the first two or three weeks then no changes after that. Oh, I have added amandaryan98 on the team...
