I find it interesting that some folks come across the line dancing like they've got another good 10 miles in them and other come across the line and collapse.  Not sure what this means....just an observation.

Wow look at everyone dropping at the finish...wonder why? Is that typical?

Hey, that's my 1/2 mary time...without having to swim 2.4 and bike 112 before hand.

That was my run time for my HIM and I know what I felt like and I had only gone 1/2 as far.

Rick just went through the half at 2:47:16.

Gonna' be a longer day than he had hoped.  Hope he's managing OK.

The hurt must be on...

Umm, youch. Cramps, GI, or nutrition?  I wonder.

Dig deep, Rick, hopefully you can keep on keepin' on.

Man the times are fast today... the winner of the 30-34 ag was 8:50!!!!

Joel is 14th in his AG.

I know, that's what I have been saying. Lot's of very fast Europeans do Florida. That AG maybe has 7 slots, tops.

It looked like the wheels started to come off during the second half of the bike, so it's probably GI as it was to early to really blow up and evryone else was riding so fast.

Just talked to CFG. Said he saw a Kuota frame sheared in half...racer 2099 (not a BT'er) somehow snapped off her Kalibur where the fork meets the head tube. They brought it back to transition in two parts.

She averaged 20+ for the first 70 miles, so she was likely moving pretty quickly. Hope she's OK.

Well hopefully Rick is holding up mentally and taking note on what to do different for LP next year

It's the flatest course on the tour. The only thing to contend with are winds, and it clearly wasn't windy today, so times are going to be blazing.

Can someone refresh my memory what the cut off times are for the bike and run?  I'm watching for a local athlete and I think she might miss the cutoff.

no kidding, I am just cheking in and looking at the times of some of the people I know the bike times are crazy fast (like 20-30 min), the conditions must have been ideal...

congrats to Joel! I hope Rick can gut it out
