BUT, my wife get's flirted/hit on by more women than I do. So not only do I have to compete with the guys, the girls too? And on a couple occasions, the girl has asked for MY permission to hook up with the wife... What do you say to that? I'm pretty much - "more power to you if you can accomplish that". See I don't get this. Since when can you not post in a thread if you want to. Has not being a girl ever stopped you from posting in questions for girls if you have a good answer? I know I CAN. But there are always a couple people that will say I don't belong. And to be honest, sharing my opinion isn't that important SO, if I can avoid the few comments that I don't belong by just not sharing - good by me. MAYBE it screws some people out of some good advice I could be sharing - but they can blame the people telling me to go away. Bottom line is, the pros of sharing my opinion are small compared to the hassle of even ONE complainer. Hmmm Good point I see what you mean and for the most part agree. I just think the concept of "I don''t belong" is silly.

Sensei ![]() | ![]() I know I keep mentioning this online OSHA training I have been doing at lunch. At first I was REALLY paying attention - as in not multitasking because I was skurt of the test questions at the end of each section. You have to get 7 out of 10 right and have 3 shots at doing it. But after the first few sections? I realized WHO a majority of people that need OSHA training is required. I'm not talking bad about them, but mostly laborers, construction, etc. Granted, people that are dealing with serious chemicals for R&D too. If they made it TOO hard, then you would lose half your work force. All most all of the questions are common sense kinds of things. The only ones I got wrong are things like "how long does a manufacturer have to identify new hazards of their chemicals after they are discovered". 1 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year. I guess 2 weeks figuring that the shorter time the better, but they get 3 months (in case you were wondering). |

Rock salt, kitty litter, or regular old play sand. Rock salt is obviously the best choice as it'll also melt and break up the ice. |

Interesting, I did not know that. I only mentioned it because I've heard that lots of the southern states use it on their roads in winter. Up here, it's all rock salt. It's almost unheard of for someone to not have a bag of it lying around somewhere.

No kitchen salt? Like perhaps a box of kosher salt or a big thing of iodized salt? Sprinkle a very liberal amount of that on the ice behind the front tires and give it an hour. |

Doh! Well, save that for cookin'! If you're gonna be stuck, may as well make tasty foods
You could try chipping away at the ice behind the tires with something. Also, make sure you are using a low gear and very slowly applying the throttle. At this point, though, your best bet might be to wait for a neighbor to just put their shoulder into it and give a push while you give it a little gas.
