I went to 3Sports this afternoon.  He spent a lot of time watching my walk and a few other things....made some suggestions.  Anyone try Ininji socks?

I love their compression toe socks!!!' I have a pair of their ankle high running toe socks and wear them with my salomons but they make my toes too wide for my Brooks.

If I'd hot it last weekend I would've hit my 2012 total in 3/4 of 2013. Still pretty stoked about it. Especially considering the gains I've made this year.

Great job on the bike mileage TJ. That is fantastic!

Thanks everyone for the good race vibes. I had a good time and enjoyed myself. I don't have official times yet but race report is done.

Good luck to everyone racing today.

The link doesn't take me to your race, it take me to the home page. I tried to find your report on my own in the RR forum and didn't see it either.

That's from it still being in draft format. Stacey can see it, but not anyone else. Have to go back in to edit the race, go all the way to the bottom and "Make Race Public".

Manatees i'm here - sorry been quiet. Emotional weekend - just stuff.  A bit like last year - damn those hormones, one comment can have me on an emotional roller coaster some days.  DH is the most understanding man on the planet.

did my long run Friday night - makes my hand swell up and a bone rubs on the cast....lol.  Half marathon will be interesting this weekend.

Saturday did an hour trainer and my lunges squats etc while i walked Scooby - i looked a proper lemon.

I spoke to Skrat today - he's just very busy new job, plus his website stuff - he can't fit anything else in - i told him we miss him.

Didn't train yesterday my cousin was staying it was a beautiful day, we took Scooby to the beach, he had a swim and a long run.  We had breakfast out.  Then the girls, me my cousin and Artemis hit the shopping mall.  Artemis got shoes and a hair cut, i got a dress.  Retail therapy is the best.

I am applying for a new job - it's with 2XU, i'm not remotely qualified but nothing ventured nothing gained right.  Nothing to lose!

Have fun manatees.

I'm running lunchtime, hour trainer tonight.  Welcome to my life.

Hey all, 2nd  1/2 marathon is in the books! Time was 2:50:something, but I knew I would be really slow. I was out late last night doing the stage show/tours at work for our Wild Affair event--it went well, we got over $65,000 raised for the zoo from the auction, and people really enjoyed the show.

...And here it is:

Also, after the show with a couple of coworkers (the Queen of Hearts, and another who didn't perform...)

Of course, this was from today's race....I had a sea lion as pacer at mile 9! Pretty fun! I am a little (okay, my legs MAY fall off...) sore, but overall, I feel good; and my feet didn't hurt nearly as bad at the end as they did at the 1st 1/2 I completed. Yay me! Report will prob'ly come on Tues--after I have relaxed a bit.

Kate, your skills are amazing!  That costume is awesome.  Sounds like it was a very successful night to boot.  And huge congrats on your race, relax and enjoy!

Heya Manatees,

Haven't been around.  Things are pretty much the same.  I haven't been wearing the boot as much. I was doing pretty well, but have pain every once in awhile.  Not happy about it.

I have a job interview on October 17 in Philadelphia.  Got moved from the 11th.  I have to give a talk during the interview. I'm nervous about that, but I think it will be ok.

Sorry .  It bites being injured...  You will rock the interview, despite the nerves!

Interview sounds great - go smash it.  As for the boot and the injury it sucks for sure.

Heal quick.

ps - don't fall onto a broken bone, it hurts.

Good day all,

Jen it is good to see you this morning. I know your interview will go well. And take time with the foot, it'll be back to normal soon, I'm sure of it.

Great job on your race, your Cheshire Cat, and your event Kate. What a full weekend.

Jo, good luck on your 2XU job. It sounds like you have some BHA Goals as well. Go get them girl! Tell Skrat we said hello, please.

Has anyone seen anything from Jogo lately? She was battling the injury bug for a while and I hope it hasn't taken too much of a toll on her.

I had a weekend full of music/church. We do a coffee house once a month that I have ended up being the MC for, as well as de facto guitar player. It has been a challenge, people hand me stuff and I figure it out. Talk about being taken out of your comfort zone. Fun though, so I am not complaining about it at all. And Sunday was the last service that we will see our 85 year old interim pastor at. His energy is amazing, his body just can't keep up. Awesome guy, we'll miss him. We sat with him after the service and played a song called Peace. Nice way to say goodbye.

I hope everyone has an outstanding week.

LaughingExceedingly hot! I also had neglected to make a spot to breathe through comfortably...oh well, live and learn...I will say that the suit without the feet, hands and head is quite comfy...maybe good winter jammies!

Used them all the time for marathon training.  It was the only thin I could consistently wear and not get blisters.  They can be a little thick, so I like the thin ones (lightweight?) best.

ETA: I'm also between sizes (S & M based on normal shoe size). I was a lot happier with the smaller ones.  They stretch over time.

Back to Monday and the insanity/uncertainty. Had a few diversions this weekend to get me out of my head.

One of them was Balloon Fiesta with the fam. We are on a necessities only budget right now but we decided to make an exception because DS2 hasn't been to Balloon Fiesta and we didn't know when he'd be here for it again. So we got up at o' dark thirty. It was fun. Although I did regret the KK Donut when it was food logging time.

I'm also going to include a pic from my drive in this morning. It's fuzzy but you get the idea of how many balloons take off every morning during Fiesta.

I think that was a great exception! Can't believe the idiots in the senate are continuing this mess, hope for all sakes , but especially those not getting paid, it ends soon.
