If that's from inaccurateweather.com you guys will have a beautiful day.  I've never found them to be even close to correct on any forecast.  Don't let the taper madness drive you nutty

I would have to concur with jszat.  73 is a bit steamy for me.  Gimme mid 60's!

True I would love the weather to be in the mid 60's, but if it's going to rain I personally would like it warmer.

Well, I hope there is no rain.  And in honor of no rain, let's play "No Rain" by Blind Melon -

Anyone know if the lake is open for swimming outside of the official Gatorade swim times?  I've got a swim on the training plan for Friday, but won't be arriving in Madison in time for the Gatorade swim that morning.

Was wondering if I'd be able to swim in the lake or would have to find somewhere else?

Thanks!

It will be open all day for swimming. The Gatorade swims just have a secure area to keep your belongings while you swim. They also hand out the green Gatorade bottles that is the only reason that I do Ironman races.

I'm thinking heavy winds with 3-4 foot whitecaps from about 6:30 to 7:30, the wind dying down and the sun coming up for about 5 1/2 hrs through  about 1pm when the clouds will roll in and the temps hover around 65 for the rest of the day. Is that being selfish?

Saw my doctor and he gave me a little hope for Sunday. I'm recovering really fast and have stayed 100% off my foot. There is about a 5% chance I'll be able to walk the marathon, maybe even jog a little, though even if I felt great I doubt I'd risk a jog. Anyway, it will literally be a game day decision, moment to moment. And I'm not getting my hopes too high, I've already processed all the pain and disappointment and was feeling great about being part of 2/3 of the race. So I'm at peace with all of that. Just knowing there is a chance I don't have to give up is a positive thing.

I'm arriving at 4 today, see everyone soon!

I'm guaranteeing that.

I'm sure there will be one in Irontalk as a sticky, and one of our Donkey may have one in the WI thread to track us Donks.

I'll volunteer to do updates during the race.

Phil, do you happen to have the list in excel or word?
