victoria.petridou - 2009-06-15 4:01 AM I feel so tired from yesterday's race! I coudn't imagine it would have been so difficult! but some falls, cuts and bruices I finished on the second place

How did all the June Bugs racing do?

Way to go. I hope the cuts bruises and falls were not too bad!

Nothing serious... and...  I don't know how to explain it... don't want to sound crazy.... but it was very exciting....  I dare say I enjoyed the fall....

Any really good "war wounds"? Always good to post pics so we can all ~feel~ the pain too!! Laughing

I took some pics, but they look a bit disgusting to post them here...

Hey, Bugs!

I'm back from a weekend conference...sorry to be MIA but I really get sucked into the academic life during these events.

I'm a little short of 50% at the month's half, but I'm looking for a medium run this afternoon to put me fairly close to on-track. Plus, at the end of the month I'll be away on vacay, with only my running shoes to keep me training, so I'm looking at a fairly back-loaded month.

Nice job guys.  My favorite vacation was Kenya.  Costa Rica was cool too.  Breakfast--Cheerios most day.  Easy breakfast post run (but rare) is McMuffin.   Favorite:   Eggs Benedict.

I broke the 50% mark...

Go Geoff, way to get passed 50%

"normal" daily breakfast is oatmeal with pineapple...used to sprinkle brown sugar on top but don't need to anymore since I ditched processed sugars over a month ago!!

And for tomorrow, we've got tickets on a bus ride through some of Denali National Park.... at 6 a.m.

OOOooooffffff. That's early. But we're hoping the animals will be out and about that time, when none of the other buses or tours have driven through there yet.

Sounds like you are having an AMAZING trip...I am very jealous!

chartierm22 - 2009-06-14 11:42 PM I would have to bet that most people would say pancakes or waffles.  We'll have to wait and see what the rest of the team says.

Banana pancakes are my partners favorite so I usually get (regular) pancake once each weekend. I'm fond of bagels in the morning, half toasted with butter and half with lite cream cheese. Gotta have coffee with my breakfast!

Before a race, my breakfast of choice is a big bowl of Cheerios with milk, a banana, and a yogurt smoothie. This never gives me any gastric distress and fuels me pretty well.

Not a popular choice but I still love my childhood favorite MIAMI DOLPHINS!! I also root for NE PATRIOTS a lot since I lived there and it is a more popular choice - I don't get ridiculed as much! ha ha ha

Favorite breakfasts....hmmm.  During the week am kinda boring as it's a feat to get the workout in and get to work so it's usually simple:, hard boiled egg, fruit and yogurt.  Before a race, peanut butter bagel and a banana.  After a long run, greek omelet (feta, spinach and tomatoes) and the best....hashbrowns.
