Veteran 940 Citrus Heights, CA | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) Popped in to catch up. --I have no opinion regarding swimming technique/breathing/etc....I breathe every other stroke on the same side; unless I try to go on the other side, then I do. I am fantastically slow at swimming. so there ya go. --As for the racing for a company opportunity, it really does come down to how much you want to put into it. I am a part of the same type of thing with Spartan Race--I promote the events, and then get wicked deals, free parking, and I know some awesome people because of it. If I put more work into promotion, it would be MORE worth it as I would get SWAG! I don't know if I will stick with the street team much longer, as I really contribute nothing to it. So please keep that in mind, decision-wise. --My favorite color is a deep forest green--which is not seen on the color menu above....sooo, I could then deal with Blue.
Mom's 1st sessions of chemo have been completed--so far, so good. She had a tiny bit of nausea the first day and the following morning, but the anti-nausea meds they gave her got rid of it then, and she's been fine since. She is also up and moving really well too. Dad is still doing cardio rehab (i.e. physical exercise!), and though the diabetes wounds on his feet have healed, he still has some pretty severe pain in one foot....it sounds like a bone or deep muscle pain; and all the docs say is "take pain meds" rather than figuring out the cause. Grr. --meanwhile he has to take 2 Norcos to banish the pain at all. Apart from that, he is actually doing quite well. I have suggested that he become a cyborg (at the leg and foot level) and then he would be pain free and AWESOME! He likes this idea. As for me...I just might have been inspired to create another costume for Halloween....after I am done making a Black and White Ruffed Lemur costume for a coworker's toddler....and my other costume just might be Disney's Stitch...yeah, already got the fabric. |

Veteran 2441 Western Australia | Subject: RE: Mad Manatee Mentors 2013: CLOSED (exc/ Pop Tart bribes) Go racing Manatees. Happy weekend to everyone. I have had a great day. Went for a ride with my friend K and her DH. It was slow but great. I really do live in a beautiful city. After our ride I went to a baking class and have spent the afternoon making (and eating) Choc Berry French Macarons.
