1099... wooohooo!!!

Does anybody has a link for that ironman video that talks about racer number.. bla bla?..   it features the guy who was hit on the bike and carried his bike the end of the bike course..

Luis

I've been trying to find this, too. If you see it posted, let me know the link.

It's a good omen. My lucky number is 4. 4 digits, 2+2, 2x2, the number 4 in there...I'll read into this ten ways to sunday...

1879 - here.

I can't believe I was actually excited to get a bib number.  I never cared much about numbers for marathons.  This time I went as fast as I could to the website to look up mine.  Guess it is because it now feels even more real.  It was a difficult road to even get this far.

Good luck with the taper and getting healthy in the next two weeks.

2187, I'll just add the first 3

Had my first ironman dream last week, somehow the swim was in a giant indoor pool and I was the last one out because I miscalculated the number of laps I needed to do, T1 was a giant locker room and I somehow ended up in run gear instead of bike gear .  At least this way it'll be hard to forget to double check what I put in my gear bags

Almost the same bib# as my California 70.3 earlier this year. They're probably using the same numbering system.

#1026. 1+0+2+6 = 9. I guess I'm going to Kona :p

# 2741 checking in...

Now it seems very real! So glad to get through my last long run yesterday. My coach texted me this morning asking me how I was enjoying my taper!

My son gave me his fortune out of his fortune cookie:

Perspective and attitude will get you to your goal!!

Am I missing something? The numbers go to 2888. That is after known DNS folks have had a chance to forfeit their slot as requested in recent emails from the race director. This seems like they have again expanded the number of participants. Last year only about 2200 started. It sounds like it will be more crowded out there this year. Maybe I have this wrong?----------------- Edit: I just checked and the highest bib number was 2659 in 2008. So maybe they didn't add that many.

Hmmmm...a glitch in my switch has me listed twice. So, I'm either 101 or 2266...both are kind of fun numbers. Have left a phone message with IM Athlete Services...we'll see!

#2408...I'd be happy with 14 hours...although my sister is doing it too and her number is 2300...does that mean she is faster than anyone ever and finishes in 5 hours?
