had a good ride today 59.23 miles in 2:57:32 for a 20.02 average. I feel good now. I did the legs up thhe wall pose for a while after the ride. first time I remembered to try it. I think it helps.

Man!  It's amazing how quickly things can turn around.  Friday I felt like I was dying.  This morning, I woke up ready to go.  I'm still coughing, but I've got tonnes of energy.  I did an easy 4.5 mile run this morning (on the treadmill, we're in the deep freeze right now).

John, I'm late to the party, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  I used to be one of those servers that sang birthday songs in restaurants, so be glad you can't hear me...

Plenty of room for Packers on the couch next to Tebow, the Saints and my Steelers.  I'm feeling pretty good about my office pool, though.  I got "stuck" with the Ravens and the 49ers.  I wasn't happy at the time, but things are working out nicely.

Is there a good reason to cough up blood?!?  Good luck with your run tomorrow.

I set my bike up on the trainer last night, got my Sufferfest video ready on it and put my bike shorts next to my bed. This morning I got up at 5:30am to do my workout and the computer had crashed and my Sufferfest video had gone without a trace...!

There is no arguing who the better team was yesterday.  You suck, you get eliminated. Very disappointed in my boys, but at least now I won't be conflicted about the fact we're in Hawaii over the SuperBowl.  Always a silver lining.

Be careful coming back Chet.  Eye on the prize.

PS. David, sorry about your ride.  I often have my own CT pc issues and it stinks.

Kauai again?  If so, do you bike when you're there and if you do, where do you rent from.   Looks like I will be in Kauai for 10 days in May followed by 3 days on the big island.

Hope I didn't break the cardinal rule......my boss is getting more and more into triathlons so last week I introduced him to BT!   Hope this doesn't mean I'll have to cut down on my BT time at work. 

Sorry I've been MIA for a while.  I started my first VERY BIG project at work last week so I was swamped.  But not complaining in the slightest.  This is what I've wanted to do for ever.  So now I've got to learn how to work training back into my schedule.  Looking forward to balancing the things that make me happy.

I actually think what she is doing is very smart.  Time to cash in while she is on top.  I bet there are a few women celebrating today!

Dan, we are back to Kauai 2/2-2/12.  I don't ship my bike and I am too darn small to rent.  I did search out bike shops in the area but came up empty.  Everyone once in a while I see a group of cyclists around Poipu.  Personally I don't think it is a very bike friendly island, especially compared to the Big Island.

It's one thing to introduce him to BT, but to suck up to hin in your MG forum?? COME ON!!!

There is NO way I would want my boss on BT or in my MG.  We're not even FB friends for the same reason.  It's mutual.

Personally, I think it will be great to open up the women's fields for a while.  I think CW is the most amazing female athlete I have come across, but now we will see who else can rise to the occasion.

Ha, I got a pretty good laugh on this guy's blog.   This guy definitely has some issues but he did make some obvious points.   The sport is expensive but it's not elitist from income.  It's elitist because it takes a strong drive to do triathlons.  

He labels all triathletes as douchebags.  Ok, he is showing his true intelligence by lumping a whole community into one catagory.  Really????  That is like saying all blonds are dumb.  I'm blond by the way.  A good journalist; in my opinion, doesn't label. 

He is also very humble.  He states that because he is a writer, he knows everything about everything.  Once again, showing his true mental state.  How many of us would every put that in writing?  How many of us would ever say we know everything about triathlons?  

So I took it with a good laugh, he made some fair points, but he is kind of out there.   Just another poor misguided child.   I would never respond to that article because that is exactly what he wants.   Even bad publicity is good.
