Not too bad, though I just found out that unfortunately it's gonna suck azz in terms of weather for my sprint this weekend... but there's gonna be a hot waffle buffet for food at the end of it - so there's no way in h3ll that I'm gonna miss out on that!

remind me never to by electronics for the better half...

Twice now, I have gotten her some pretty nice technology, to have it just gather dust.  SO, yesterday, I took back the 30gig Zune MP3 player and made it mine.  Loaded up tons of stuff.  The only problem, it's PINK.  Oh well.  Maybe get a cover for it?

I might already be drooling over the prospect of hot waffles on Saturday... nomnomnom!

Also FINALLY going to take my mom out for brunch on Sunday (not my fault that it's taken so long, I swear!), so now I gotta figure plans out for that - gotta be something yummy!

I went to a race where all the things OTHER than the race are awesome (the course is miserable, though).  We had a build-you-own breakfast burrito/taco bar after a race.

Of to the government center of Las Vegas.  Not the glamorous part of the city, I'll tell you.

However, the courthouse in Vegas get's all the winners.  BUT, I assume that's the same in every city...

So... what would TAN do?

Sep 18... two race choices... one, a no-name OLY... cheap... near my brother's and could stay with him and his fam (did that when I raced it before)...

The other is Savage Man Oly... almost twice as expensive... bigger race, could drive to it on race day...would know more folks at this race since lots from my tri club will be doing it...

anyone care to weigh in on something that they really have no idea about?

Nope - I'm thinking that's a south of the border from Canada thing. (or at least south of the border from Vancouver)

Compare the courses. Which one looks like it would be more fun/challenging? Some no name races have really fun and hard bike courses (ie Little Smokies HIM)

Do the smaller race. You'll save money, it's the same distance, probably just as well run and you'll be suppoorting a more-hometown event.

They both have their place.  The short races a quaint.  But the big ones really have a cool atmosphere.  I tend to like the energy of the big ones but not the hastle.
