Need some good thoughts and hugs.

I just took my dog into the vet and it was time to say goodbye to SuperPoof as Yanti calls her.

Sasha is no longer in pain but my heart is SO torn right now and my house feels so empty coming home from the vet without her.

I can't stop crying.

Sweet, sweet MMA. To me it will always look like you have your sidekick Superpoof. She's just kind of ... much poofier now, ever-expansive dog spirit.

I love you, and her. {MELON PRESS}

Let it out man,  there is no reason to stop crying. then be a little mad, then cry some more.  The loss of unconditional love hurts.  heal in your way and your time.

Thank you so much Yanti. She is in a better place now. Hardest thing I have had to do. Her fur is all over my house and I never want to clean it up now.

Thanks eveyone I hate to just dump bad news.

But just been sitting home alone and feel so empty.

I know what my next tattoo is. I am going to get a tattoo of her paw and include the ashes in the ink. She is running free with many of my friends dogs. Seems everyone has had a rough year around me with dogs.

But she was at such peace when she went.

This just reminded me of the sweetest thing that my vet ever did for me.  When I lost my Roxie (I had her for 10+ years), after I had left, they took a print of her paw and everyone in the office signed it and they mailed it to me in a Condolences card about a week later.

I have it framed now

ETA: Maybe this can make ya smile a little: image (hope it's ok to link to a pic)

Love the idea for your tattoo Spanky!

That link makes me chuckle every time I see it.  Hospital corners would be totally out of the question!

Sad day in TAN. It's always a hard thing to deal with that Chris. I hope you can remember the happy days. I was talking to someone about my dog I had as a kid and it made me so happy to think of the good times.

KATE! STOP!

What am I telling you to stop?

I can get you a girl scout, which is a route to cookies. but then again, that restraining order prevents me from doing so.

Sorry about the doggie news

Blizzard of Oz part 2 has begun. Another 8-14 inches this afternoon/evening.

I bought a shovel in Oklahoma yesterday on my way back from (70 degree, sunny) Texas. You can't find one in this city. Also went to the store, which had been ransacked. People have panicked and hoarded. Strangely, there were plenty of fresh veggies left (except onions, broccoli, cauliflower and bananas). But I picked up tons of great stuff and have enough for 3 or 4 big meals if I can't get out of the house again.

Yikes!  I know we're getting some snow tonight/tomorrow but no where near that amount.  More working from home for you in the next couple of days?

FYI - I LOVE your completed medal from Texas!
