I will tear most things apart and fix them. I restore things that are stupidly overengineered and unreliable (hello pinball machines) but I won't do much to my car. Just don't have any desire, have to do everything alone, and can't have my car out of commission for two weeks while I try to figure out why the eff this one bracket won't go back on.

This post garners you -25 man points and dish/laundry duty for a week. If you're single, you must accompany a female friend on a trip to her salon.

ok... so I am in AGONY...

I am currently the high bidder on ebay on an auction... there is less than an hour and a half left... the bid has barely budged... I am sure i won't win, but every second I remain high bidder gives me the hope that I might actually win... ugh.

I want to win, but I don't want to think I will win...

-brian

ha... I know the feeling.  I have to wait until the very end of the auction and bid my 'maximum' bid and then leave it.  If I win, great.  If not, it was more than I wanted to spend.

I tend to creep mine up to a more reasonable price...

I set my Maximum at what I'd like to get it for and, if it gets beat and I'm online, I'll inch it up a couple of dollars...

But I do set an absolute limit.

As an eBay addict... that is the only way to win. Make sure you're logged in and wait until only 6 or 8 seconds remain in the auction, and bid your maximum amount. Or you can use auctionstealer.com if you can't be at the computer when the auction ends.

Prior to last month, I hadn't bought anything from ebay in 9 months.  Now, with that website, I'm going to end up buying so many things.

Damn you, RYAN!!!

I see no problem with staying at home drinking beer and playing Guitar Hero in lieu of fixing my own car.

I do the dishes every night anyway. My wife works nights. If she comes home and has to do dishes there's no time for sex.

  • ..of course, one of these days I'm going to demand to be involved in the sex.

I try not to bid until the last minute, but I always decide what my max bid is ahead of time.  If it goes higher than that, it was more than I wanted to pay anyway.

TheSchwamm - 2008-05-27 6:58 PM i was changing to go for a walk, and i found what appeared to be a piece of black confetti. And then my brain wondered, "Why wasn't i invited to the party in my pants?"

There were flyers posted all over town....

And a lot of people came.

Gopher, Party of One. Your Handbasket is now available.

At least some folks had a good time!
