I had a massage today, something I rarely do, but mom gave it to me as a gift a year ago. I get so sore for a few days after a massage and I hope that does not happen this time. Anyone ever have issues with massage? Linda I haven't. What kind of massage? Oh and finally back amongst the internet sitting crowd now, back at work : ) I had a sports massage this time, not too bad. Linda Got a deep tissue massage last week. Hurt like a _____ while it was going on. Literally felt like she was about to break my bones. But 24 hours later, felt great. Getting another this afternoon. |

The person Sam and I use is in DC, he does sports type massage, according to his website. "A type of massage therapy which is concerned with optimizing the performance of the body. Sports Massage techniques are geared towards increasing circulation, reducing restrictions to movement and insuring optimum scar tissue formation in the event of an injury. Although usually applied to athletes, sports massage is equally beneficial to the "civilian" population. Utilizing Sports Massage can help ensure that one is better prepared to take on the garden ... or the marathon!" Not sure how that differs exactly from any other massage but the spots that hurt when doing S/B/R don't hurt after the massage so I guess it works. |
