Also, this Saturday morning is the A Christmas Story Run... gonna collect my Leg Lamp finisher medal

My $0.02: once you see how they do it, you may DIY it with Home Depot windows. It's a worthwhile update in any case.

If I had somewhat normal windows, like old weighted sash types,, I would.  I have an old "metal pan" style steel framed windows from the early 50's that has to be completely removed all the way back to the rough framing and then new construction windows have to be put in, which is an extra pain with the siding, interior trimming, etc...   It's just more hassle than I feel like dealing with.

'Nuff said. Mine were simple vinyl inserts. When I saw how easy they were, I was kind of bummed I didn't do the whole job myself. But they've been perfect for 5 years, so I picked well.

Was there a run on the grocery stores?? You guys aren't used to this kind of weather!

We got hit by back-to-back snow storms in Feb/March this year... I always thought those people were crazy who raided the shelves. Until I literally couldn't get out of my house or driveway from a few feet of snow. I mean, I still had enough food in the house were I wasn't going to starve, but I understand a bit more.

Yup....I stocked up on Sunday (when they started announcing this could happen) so I wouldn't have to go to the grocery store the day before. Lots of FB posts of empty bread shelves, no bottled water, etc. Apparently it was pandemonium at the stores yesterday.

My only concern was my beer supply. I didn't plan accordingly. Luckily, the store is within walking distance, if my neighbors won't share.

Finally getting some winter "cold" out here in California. It was a crisp 44* this morning by the coast, below 20* inland. A 20 minute drive for a 20* temperature swing! Quite the opposite to summer where it's in the mid 60's at the coast but mid 90's-100 inland.

That's kind of awesome!

I had to go to another building on campus today in this negative degree wind chill BS. I spent more time walking to my car, driving, parking, walking into new building, walking back out to my car, driving, parking and walking back into my building - than I did getting the information I needed. And the room I was in was blowing COLD AIR. Everyone kept their coats, scarfs and gloves on - ridonk!

We do but they don't connect every building.

Boss is gone-dee for the day! Co-worker is on vacation! So nice and quiet.

Happy Friday.

Second week on the new job and loving it so far. Swamped with work. But I have access to BT. Not all blocked.

They have been without a process guy for 8 months so I am buried under paper work. And I have about 2 million dollars in launches for the next year equipment wise. We make a pretty neat product. Who would have thought heat shields would be fun.

Problem is I went looking found this finally and now the other jobs are all calling for interviews.

Best one yet is Hiram Walker / Penot ricard they make alcoholic beverages and spirits. I may have to entertain them.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Were they wrapped or unwrapped?

Just if you just got pieces of chocolate in your stocking, I'd venture to say that wasn't chocolate......and someone doesn't like you
