But I still need to get to 4800 to get the "Champion" Upgrade...

hmmm...

I can't seem to get beyond Regular. Though there are worse things that being regular.

The tags are a combination of the number of posts and how long you've been on the site.  If you click on "user listing" on the top, it tells you how to get all of them.

cami bee - 2008-07-28 10:14 AM So I need to take two more classes before I think my committee will consent to letting me go ABD. I was going to take one next summer, but summer is so variable that I don't want to have to depend on it. The thing is, there's nothing particularly interesting that I want to take. So right now I am just hoping that after months of looking, something exciting is going to pop out of the course catalog this morning.

Does it need to be in a certain discipline or field or can it be any class (save basketweaving, which is clearly reserved for the athletes)?

It needs to fall into my related courses category. Somehow I don't think that my PhD committee would let me count basketweaving. Which really is too bad.

And your related course category isssssssssss.............?

Oh sorry. Environmental Science specially soil, water, ag systems, modeling, etc. I was thinking about "Aquatic Ecology" but I'm not sure if that's too much of a stretch. My current related courses include things like field experiment statistics, fluid dynamics, advanced soil physics, things of that nature.

Is there any new PIV coursework to look at? As I understand it, the field is growing by leaps and bounds in what PIV can show in fluid dynamics, no?

PIV?

Particle Image Velocimetry (that is probably spelled wrong).

Morning.  Sorry to hear about the dragging.

I'm even thinking of telling the office I'm not feeling well just to get away.  that's something I never do...

I think with the people, training, and all the work this weekend.

Plus one of our dogs ran away during one of the "opening/closing" of the front door yesterday.  I had to drive around for 30 minutes yelling out the car window.  Someone else found her and called us.  That stressed me out..

I just need some "me" time - that would be just the ticket....  A motor cycle ride or hike by myself.  Yes......

I'm so sick of sad sh*t in life..  Came into the office this morning to see an email from our CEO..  One of my coworkers that I talk to on a daily basis lost her 19yo son this weekend in a car accident..  Another co-worker that I don't know as well son was injured in the accident..  Sucks all around

I hear ya....  I almost expect any phone call and every time I log onto BT, that the other shoe is going to drop.  Or should I say shoe store with all that's been going on....

i can do just about anything. i have to be careful with riding 'cause sometimes my achilles tendons don't like it so much. Aquajogging... meh. i messed up my shoulder a couple of months ago by swimming too much incorrectly, and i'm trying to get back into it without jacking up my shoulder. i figure i'm really only meant to cook, bake, and sit on the couch eating what i prepare.

see... you just need to get married, pop out children... barefoot and in the kitchen... it's the way God intended it... and then you wouldn't need to worry about your foot... really.

ok... sorry Schwamm... I wish your foot was healed too...

Is it that BT is getting THAT big or are things just going really really really badly right now???

I think it's a bit of both, but it does seem like a lot of the people that have had bad things happened to them as of late have been around here for a while.  It could also be that people feel more comfortable about sharing such info with "strangers".  The increase in bike accidents and tri deaths, I think that's more of an increase in tri popularity (not the original question, but seems like we're hearing a lot more about that too).
