think of it as a game on how much stuff you can cram into your day.  I work full time, full time mba student(all day saturdays).  My wife is in school also, she has class 2 nights a week also.  My mba program is lots of work, but it is also lots of group work, so it is easier to delegate certain tasks according to strengths.  It can be done.  I also have time to train, so does my wife, and we have a 4 yr old.

Wow - just wow!

I've been thinking of going back to school to actually do something that I want to do (now that I found out today that air traffic control has put on ANOTHER hiring freeze for at least a year which means that I would have to start the application process all over again)... but torn between just sticking it out with what I've got, or starting all over again.  What to do?

It's warm outside, just cold inside our bulding.  Plus, my body's not very good at regulating temperature.

I crave Subway from time-to-time. Makes no sense because it's nothing special. But sometimes it's exactly what I want. Power of advertising?

Probably.  We're also in this new building with some kind of fancy cooling system that makes it extra cold.  Not sure how it works but I think it uses water or something.  Supposed to be environmentally friendly (our building is Leed Gold).

I never crave Subway.  I wish I could say the same for Taco Bell.

Why oh why does taco bell not release it's ugly grasp on my soul?

bragging a bit...

Last evening at the BEA (Booksellers International Convention) Publishers gathered for their annual Ben Franklin Award ceremony sponsored by the Independent Book Publishers Association. These awards are open to all publishers and the more than half a million books published in 2009, regardless of the publisher's size or clout.  All the major NY publishers as well as Independents are eligible.

In the "religion/religious issues" category, my mom's book Welcome them Home won the award as the best religious book published in 2009.!!

Sheesh, my parents set the bar high.  Both PHD's leaders in their fields, award winning authors...

Maybe I should read her book too.

ETA:  She CO authored it.  Not to take credit from the others...  Since I am into the military, it should be a decent read...
