jdwright56 - 2008-05-28 9:08 AM BRB - have to deal with my friends at Nebraska Furniture Mart.. This should be exhilarating.
Hey. I used to work there.

They are one of my largest customers - an thus - require a lot of work - but that's what I do.

It always bothers me when people complain about having to do a lot of work for their large customers or complain about being too busy.  Uhhh - that is how you make money.  I'm sure your competition will serve them if you don't want to.  They should be beaten with a tack hammer.

Rynamite - 2008-05-28 9:01 AM Alright, so one of my best buddies is getting married. WTF do I get him?
A swift kick in the fleshy area where his sac used to be!

That's what I wanna give him.

Actually, his fiance is super cool... so it's not too bad.

He rides a motorcycle too... but he has these beef cattle, and horses, and other stupid a$$ stuff like that. Sheep! wtf?

His dad owns the company I work for... so he doesn't 'need' anything. Everything is handed to him, and has been that way his whole life. That actually created a TON of problems between us a few years ago... but we got past it. He got voted 'Most likely to succeed' in the high school year book. SO I said "They shoulda renamed it 'Most likely to have success handed to them'." Heh...he went postal...

ANYWAY. I don't wanna get him something off the registry. He just got a house, but has everything he needs for it... since the house was also handed to him. That's what makes it so tough. I want to get him something that he and his fiance both will appreciate, since I'm good friends with her too...

Is it a nice house?  Do they have a theatre room.  My friend bought a new house that had a theatre in the basement.  I got them a popcorn maker for the room (like Tony Soprano).  The damn basement smells like a movie theatre lobby all of the time.

I knew that was going to be said - but I figured it would be 2Goggs.

When they were moving in, one of our friends went to their CD box and found the Alanis Morissette CD - Played "You Oughta Know" over and over again - there is a line in there that references a theatre.  Jess was po'd.   I laughed and drank beer.

Just remodeled the entire house.

They kinda have a theatre room... but it's more like a living room.

He has a 'man room' with a bar and a plasma TV. I was trying to think of something for that.

I dunno how much I wanna spend... I don't even know what's 'appropriate'. A couple hundred bucks?

I shouldn't get him anything.... I've made most of the money that paid for his house already... but I won't go there.

So basically, what you are saying, is that he got you a job with his Dad's company and is responsible for any of the success you have had at your job?

Something about "going down", but not in a "home" theatre, but we can add that!

Stock their bar and demand free drinks every time you come over?

Do they have a Wii? Those are pretty fun even for girls, and not a lot of people put them on their registry.
