Hey, should I shave my legs for this race? I have never done it before, but this is my "A" race! It is also my longest distance since all I have done is sprints so far.

Opinions? I notice that most of the girls have thier legs shaved! What about the guys? Do most shave?

On a serious note, if it's too close to try something like this, let me know.

If you are married, discuss it with your spouse first.  Hilarity will ensue.

Once you start, you won't stop.

Martians...check. Bike...check. Wetsuit...check. Attitude....checkity-check-check. I'll handle the excessive eating, beer drinking, and obnoxiousisity. Any other requests for the fat, out-of-shape non-racers will be considered as long as they don't contain too many big words.

Oooh, one other note...I think Trix and I are OUT on Saturday night....

I was on the run course yesterday.  There are changes vs. last year.  In summary, Less turns but more hills (actually one good one, which you get to repeat).  They took out the out-and-back while making the loop (we still do 2X) around Whirlpool's campus larger.   If I get a chance to BT-Route it, I'll post it here.  Like the bike, the last 2.5 miles will be fast (downhill to a flat finish).

I just checked accuweather and they are calling for 94 and Humid with a heat index closer to 100.  I am praying that changes as we have not had weather that hot here yet, so I am completely unprepared for that.

Well, if you didn't take that winter coat thing to an extreme, it might be different.

Just sayin...

I don't shave a lot; I am just like a hairless cat hence one shaving lasts like 2-3 weeks

Brian, you should probably do the course talks, by now you know it better than the race organizers! Man, I thought we said we'd keep the intel between us - gives us the advantage right?

See you sometime Friday...

From Accuweather

Saturday, Aug 2
High: 94 °F RealFeel®: 98 °F
Very hot and humid with sunshine and patchy clouds

Now I have to hope Matt swims his arse off and Trixie rides like a ferret on crack on the bike!

Had to figure it was going to be hot and humid since I joined there team a little over a week ago, must be my bad karma. Might have to break out the sheik hat with the nice white neck cover.
