We are arriving on Thursday and leaving Monday. . Just driving from Kansas City and back. . . I was thinking about leaving Tuesday, but figured we could leave Monday and if it too painful, can find a motel on the way back home. . probably 20 minutes outside of Lville.

I`m coming down from Ontario, driving half way ( just past Detroit), camping then driving the rest, hope to get there on Wed. and then leave on the following Wed. I have lots of vacation time from work so time is not an issue for me. May come sooner...or...stay later depending on how I feel and what sight seeing there is around there.

For those visual people. I swear you didn't need a glow stick.

You could see Mike coming well over a mile away.  Lots of things from that day are a blur, but I clearly remeber everytime I saw Mike on the run.

Pegasus1731 - 2008-12-29 10:53 PM I'm not sure when I'm getting in. I'll have my last final on Friday morning, and plan on taking off immediatly after.  But it's a good 9 hour drive from Missouri.  I know check in is on Friday, so I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do.  Might try to take that test early
What kind of semester system are you on that you already know when an august final is? I'll drive up friday. Got a suite booked with 2 other BTers. Last year they took a deposit when I booked but not this year.

I guess I should have asked,, what is the first night we can stay in the room??  thursday?? or Friday??

Well according to goggle it's about 8 hours, (guess I was off a bit).  That does seem a bit off as St. Louis is 3 hours from where I live/

I know that that last week of Aug is our finals week for forth quarter, and the last test of finals is always 8am friday morning.  Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll switch it up!

my wife made reservations at the gault house. 3 night minimum. We are arriving friday and leaving monday. I live relatively close, but it will be my first IM. Everyone I talk to recomends staying a day or so to recover before heading home. We shall see.

Pegasus,

Let me know if you are interested but....I have couple of groups that are going to be making some trips to Louisville from StL during the summer to train...... most will include myself and my swim coach, the gal I am training and some other guys and gals.....it will be a mixed group of Louisville vets, IM vets and at least one IM-virigin (my swim coach, she is going to get REAL nervous as we get closer)......and we may also have a gal that I train with that is a Training Bible Coach......

Hope to see you there!
Paul

Looks like Saturday July 18.  Here's a page with the date and the active.com link: http://www.findaraceevent.com/ViewRaceDetail.aspx?raceId=5911

The race doesn't seem to be listed on the headfirstperformance.com page though.

FWIW, I tried to register for Cardinal Harbor this morning and Active.com wouldn't take me to the registration page. I did manage to get to it from this like above. I'm in for this one.

Well I have flip, flopped, flipped on my the training program I am going to follow for the big race. I was going to do the 20 week beginner program from this site but have now gone back to my original plan and doing the 13 weeks to a 13 hour Ironman. It fits my schedule better and it creates far less stress. I am going to add a few workouts to the program though because it seems to have a few more days off than I will need.
