I wonder how much longer it will stay open?  I really need to take some time off from the IM.  With that said, why do I keep checking to see if it's full or not?

You know you want to do it.  Just get it over with and hit the submit button.  As far as time off from the Ironman goes, that's what July thru December is for. 

Totally with you, runnergirl... Keep hemming and hawing... I left something out there in  June (in addition to my lunch!) and I know I need to go back. Go back in 2011? Or another time? Visions of hours of trainer rides is what is holding me back at the moment... The past winter was an El Nino one (= mild here in WA) after all... But yeah, then I say if it fills up I'll probably kick  myself...

We are toying with the idea.  It's still open and I'm assuming that there are a decent number of spots left.  Usually when it gets really close they'll say how many spots are left.  I just can't believe it hasn't filled up yet.  Though the price of these races have really gone up over the years. In 2006 it was only like $425 for me to register for IM FL.  Boy have times changed!

Count me in for IMCDA -- I was on the fence for quite a while, but finally said WTH! I'm currently training for a full marathon in Nov., will take a month of rest and then start the base build for IMCDA. Wow! The only thing that keeps me calm about it right now is knowing it's still several months away. I just finished the aquabike (2.4 mile swim and 112 mile ride) at Vineman course, which helped to build my confidence that I can cover the distance of an IM. I know it will hurt and will be a challenge, but if it wasn't why would we even bother doing it? Right?

I'm looking forward to "knowing" you all on this thread and meeting you in CDA come next June. This will be my first IM, btw. I've done 2 HIM and I'd suggest Oceanside as a tune-up. I did it last year and it's a very good course and the water is just a tad warmer than CDA will probably be.
