KOM - 2010-11-08 9:17 AM I have been lurking on this thread and would like to join if possible.  I am having some minor surgery tomorrow and will not be able to exercise much (no sweating or pool) for the next 3 weeks.  I need to really watch my food intake and do as much as I'm allowed.  I think this thread will keep me honest about the food and not just throw myself a pity and pie party.

My current wt is 135 and my goal for the end of the year is 130. Other data- BT name KOM, real name Kathy

THANKS!!

Welcome! Good luck on the minor surgery and happy healing. It's good to eat well when recovering so you'll get extra benefit.

Sad day. I can't say it wasn't expected. Yesterday was really close. Plus I ate four meals plus snacks (it was a long day). Anyway. I'm back over 200. Not by much but I never wanted to see a 2 in that first position of my weight again. I will do better. Hopefully it's short lived.

Official weight this morning 200.1

I hope the surgery goes well and that you have a speedy recovery. Maybe they can remove that 5 pounds for you while they are in there. It doesn't hurt to ask.

LOL. Unfortunately they are taking off 2 skin cancers from my face.  The one place that doesn't have a lot of extra padding.  Just hoping I don't look like MJ when I am done!

Didn't weigh this morning - everything is swollen due to a friend coming to visit and I don't even want to be depressed by it so I didn't weigh. If I feel less round tomorrow I will weigh tomorrow. I try to avoid weighing this week since it is just depressing.

I think my scale might be stuck...  Undecided  Anyway, I actually got weighed this morning at work today too.  THAT scale said 139.6 - which I like ALOT better.  I stuck with the number from home for consistency.

Now that's funny!

Still at 180 today. Hope to get in a good run late tonight (6 to 9 miles I hope) so that'll help burn some calories. That and I haven't had any soda the last 3 days as I think I'm going to try and give it up for good starting with this challenge.

Your welcome - sorry everyone - I have to think they are covered in something gross for me to stop the urge to eat them.

DH and I gave up pop a while back.  We drink quite a bit of the 0 calorie flavored carbonated water, though.

I am thinking of getting a new scale. I have an old cheap one with tiny lines and a needle I can barely see most of the time.  Any recommendations?  Still needs to be relatively cheap but I have a few coupons I can use so that will help.

Hang in there, I know the feeling. Mine has creeped up a few this month from long work days and stress eating. Get that 1 back in front!

deehtz - 2010-11-06 8:16 PM I'm flat-lined.  Frown

Don't worry - me too! It happens.

Today my schedule includes making a nutrition plan for the week. I'm going to sort out my breakfasts/lunches/snacks.

Flat line is better than what I did this weekend. Sometimes this weight loss thing mystifies me. I did a long run and a hill workout. With the stuff I had to do Saturaday I only got two meals in, then I fasted Sunday. I even restrained myself at dinner last night. I wanted to eat more. It was sooo good. But I held back. Then this morning I weigh in and my weight is up. I just don't get it.

No fasting Paul. Eat regular small-medium sized meals throughout the day or else you'll take the chance of messing up your metabolism. If you want to make up for a "cheat" day, then eat more fruits and veggies, and cut the junk on your make up day.

I want everyone healthy and safe! I don't want to hear about anyone else starving themselves. Laughing

Weekends are tough!

Kathy (KOM)  welcome to the challenge.

Anyone seen Shermbelle?  His blog says life took him and shook him last week.  I hope he rolls out of it soon.

Got my run in today and have eaten well so far.  Hopefully the weigh over the weekend was just water!

I "think" he is back Surprised

Yeah life bit me right in the @**

Missed workouts, essentially double work days 3 days in a row= not fun

Life has settled a bit, weight creeped a bit but back on today and will be getting in some solid workouts tonight and daily weigh ins again.

Hopefully everything returns to normal soon.
