Oh, and the other thing I figured out today that HAS to be in my favor...  I just moved to a new location at work on Monday - from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor.  Today I counted 44 steps total for one trip and I had to go up and down 4 times today.  And this was a relatively slow meeeting day...  Here's to new jobs leading to more exercise at work!  Woo hoo!!!

p.s.  yes, I declared today "Small Victory Wednesday"...

Morning Everyone!  Weigh in day is tomorrow and it's looking like I won't see much change on the scale but I feel great!

I hate shopping and I NEVER do this but 2 years ago I bought a pair of pants from JCrew for $5!  What a deal eh?  The problem was - they didn't fit!!  I told myself it wouldn't take much to get in to them well... fast forward two years and they fit PERFECTLY!!  It's odd though that my weight is relatively the same so I guess on the long term plan I have been altering my body fat composition which is good but geesh!  ANYWAY - progress is definitely slow but still pleasurable!

Tomorrow I leave for my holiday!  My goal is to be strong and resist non-stop eating on an 'all inclusive' holiday and goal is to try and get some good workouts in!  Have a good week and hopefully I'll either maintain or DROP by next weigh in!!

Lots of good stuff here!  You guys are inspiring!!

For me, life (and laziness!) have gotten in the way of my workouts these past few days, but I'm headed back on track today.  Been eating... okay, I suppose.  Mostly good, except for the fact that my roommate (one of those "eat anything and still skinny and in shape" types) brought Oreos into the house.  I've had only 2, but I'm hoping she finishes them SOON.

And the weigh-in tomorrow is making it easier for today to be a definite clean eating day!

top of the morning - 24 hour to go until Friday morning.
If you lost a little something, stay strong today and prepare to brag (a little).

Congrates to Kimmax - Your body is officially two years younger and you have the pants to prove it.

Good (my) Friday morning, folks! Today I'm thankful for those who put their lives on the line so that I am able to wake up each day free to do as I choose.  Thank you, veterans. Thank you, those serving still. Thank you, my husband, who'll be off to Afghanistan in February to help rebuild it.

Today is my weigh in day and I've put on 4 ounces. Up to 140.2 from 139.8, which I was expecting after carbo loading on sushi, udon, and plum wine last night.

I'm resting up for the run Sunday. We were supposed to make it a stay-cation, but my husband generously gave the kids and myself the gunk he had last week. This house is a sick house with some variation of the illness. What stinks is I feel it in my chest, which means my asthma might get triggered at some point this weekend. I'll have to locate my inhaler or get a new one for the race, and run with a hydration belt on so I can carry it. BOOOOO!

OK, that's my first Friday result and I'm perfectly fine with it. After the race, I'm hitting up the pool and bike to start training hard for the Xterra in March 2012.

Go, guys!!!

I'll echo Blanda:  a huge, can't-say-it-enough Thank You to all of our veterans and women and men still currently serving to protect this country.  Because of them, I can do things like worry about whether or not I gained/lost weight over the course of a week rather than worrying about whether I'll survive one day to the next.

And as for the weigh-in... I'm exactly where I started:  147.  This week has been one of not really working out -- shoulder issues, mostly, plus a little laziness thrown in -- but I'll get it back on track.  This weekend is a girl's weekend away that has every sort of fun packed into it:  starting out with a 10k race ... moving it along with lunch, cocktails poolside and a fabulous dinner ... ending up with going out dancing at the clubs.  Should be quite awesome!

Good Day - I'm at 224 this morning and 18.5% BF.  I saw 222.5 earlier in the week but was not able to make it stick.  Thats frustrating.  None the less, I'm very glad to see 2 pounds gone.

Small brag - I went down to the cafe this morning for 2eggs and hash browns.  Came back with coffee and oatmeal.  Yes.

A friend sent me a link today, I'm forwarding to you.
The link is to DaveScotts VBlog.  He has some good tips on eating and satiety.

Wow--what a week!  Thanks for all the inspires and I hope to catch up soon.  As you are probably NOT aware (but you are now since you know me and are reading this post!), the USFWS declared a snake species in Florida extinct without conducting an adequate survey to really say if this is true or not.  I feel this is irresponsible and convenient (they no longer have to address the species in any documents or respond to the lawsuit they are in for not listing it as an endangered species).  My non-profit, Center for Snake Conservation, is going to challenge this declaration and go find the snake again.  I have been extremely busy trying to put together the "A" team of snake biologists and find the right partners to help fund the effort.  This was the first week into our initiative so it has taken most of my free time (plus I am trying to hold down a job that pays the bills).  At least I am having fun and doing what I am passionate about.

I gained 1lb this week.  Stress, eating poorly, and no exercise.

Down a pound this week. It could have been more but the timing of the weighing was not ideal.

Up about 1/2 lb to 146.5 and I know it has to do with drinking hot cocoa with milk since it seems to calm the throat and all "comfort" food when I have been sick. Next week when I can breathe and have energy I will try to get back at it. My first week back to exercise has been stuck in bed sicker than the dog.

Cameron: Sorry to hear your work troubles! Hope you find a good team to get your snakes the attention they need.

Guys, those of us who've had a bit of gain, we'll just have to buckle down this coming week and make up for it. Go hard. I plan to after I'm done with this crazy weekend. I'm not even gonna touch the scale till Wednesday. Today's buffet table at the soccer jamboree was crazy packed with goodness. Holy Snickers!

As Nike says, "Just do it!".

I'm down .6 lbs from 148 to 147.4.  Got a little lazy and life got a little hectic but I'm reworking the schedule and think I've got things figured out and I'll hopefully see better results next week

Positive stuff, Bill and Emma! Keep it up.

Ran the half, and now I'm full on triathlete in training. One thing I learned over the weekend just youtubing swimming lessons was that I shouldn't be holding my breath under water, but blowing it out! Stupid thing is, it was taught in swim class, but I forgot it. DUMMY! I'm hoping this will help me break through my darn swimming issues of not being able to go 50 meters without getting winded.

Hardcore healthy eating starts tomorrow.

I have been doing Jorge's plan and it's kicking my butt!  Hard to not eat garbage food after an hour or more of hard interval sets.

Try setting aside your recovery nutrition before your intervals.  Before Jorge's workouts my meals look more like pre-race breakfast than a normal meal.  I can't even think about food for at least 60 minutes after Jorges workouts.  Thats the winter suffer fest diet.  Good luck on your 5 and 20min maximal efforts this week,
