You're a machine!

I ran a very easy 2.65 miles this afternoon. I'm hoping for a medium-ish run tomorrow morning, in the neighborhood of 6-7 miles.

Kansas Mom, l like your avatar.

BigDH, great job!

GREAT job everyone!

I have a 5 mile run this COLD morning.  It is 47 and I'm not used to that.  Give me 80 and I'm happy as a pig in slop.  I don't know what to wear!

Kansas Mom, l like your avatar.

Thanks! I used it last year during this running challenge.

6.65 miles in this afternoon -- totally naked running, real "streaking." lol I couldn't find my watch, so I ran completely by RPE. It was a great run.

Hi guys! Just got my one miler in after a long day of watching junior high bball! My 8th grade daughter amazes me...while I am all of 5', she is 5'7"...it's such a joy watching your children excel in activities you never dreamed of doing.

Put on the big girl panties and did my ten mile run outside even though the winds were howling...I despise running in the wind, but my poocher pie Lola knew I was getting ready to run, saw me grab my shoes, so out we went. It was slow, got jostled around a bit, but did it! I rewarded Lola with a cheeseburger!

Found a couch to 10k app for my phone so I started that today.  I felt weeks 1 and 2 looked too easy so I started with week 3.  Even got Shadow (my dog) out for half of it with me  3.74 miles total today!

Awesome!

I did my 2.65 mile loop. It felt great.

I have genetically mutant feet (from my father), and my bunions are the size of golf balls. Last night, my left one was randomly throbbing. I could rub it, and it would feel fine, no soreness, then suddenly, a stab of pain. I broke down and took Ibuprofen and iced it. It seems better today, but I'm going to have to keep an eye on them.

I hate my feet. They've always been this way. No cute, girlie shoes for me. Ever.

I went 9 today.  That's the furthest I've gone since a marathon 3 weeks ago.  My knee seems a little displeased with me right now...  I'm off to the foam roller now!

Just my boring 325+ mile ride through rural Iowa on gravel roads

yeah, right....

well you got alot of catching up to do here so that should give you some added motivation to train, if you are looking for some.

how does the foam roller help your knee. I am thinking of getting one of those foam roller things but I know nothing about them.

I've never done that much on the trainer. That is very respectable.

I did 4.65 miles this afternoon. A cold front is blowing in, so while the temperature wasn't that cool, the wind was out of the north and frigid. If that makes sense. We have a chance of snow on Thursday.

I love my foam roller...  My knee issue seems to be more around the knee and not something wrong inside my knee.  (The spot that was bugging me the most was more like the side of the top of my tibia.)  Anyway, I rolled my hamstrings, quads, calves, etc. figuring that if something was tight or unhappy in those places it would pull on my knee funny.  Seems to have helped or maybe it's in my head.

The foam roller came with P90X2.  I never finished that program, but did learn to use the foam roller.  I keep it in my living room so I can use it while watching TV.

Yesterday I stayed inside and tested the knee out on the treadmill.  Seems OK today so I did 4 miles.  It was absolutely gorgeous out - felt more like September than December. It's kind of windy but I bet it's 70 F out there or very close to it.

I also somehow got roped into a contest at the gym called "Migrating to Miami Beach".  We're on teams of 5 and we have to track mileage from Dec - Feb and then if our team's mileage totals 1585 (which is apparently the distance from here in upstate NY to Miami Beach) we get entered into a prize drawing.  There are a lot of rules though including that for distance to count, I have to start/end at the gym, but there seems to be no definition around "strength training" which counts as 5 miles...  Should be interesting...

Hello! 1 mile for the challenge and then 40 minutes of hill repeats, think I came out around 3.5-4.0 miles or so.

Did a very short run today -- 1.30 miles. Ran it pretty quick, for me. The second loop was under 10 min mile, which is very good for me.
