How's everybody doing this morning? Candy hangovers?

Also, on a scale of one to Rebecca Black, how happy are you that it's FRIDAY?

No candy hangover, but a happy belly just the same.  The GF and I went to a porch party to hand out candy to the kids at one of her friend's house last night.  The guy is a chef and was making homemade pizzas and stuff all night. So much nom!

Hooray Friday!!!

I'd go for the pizza and ignore the children.

Aww all of the kiddos I saw last night were adorable! We had a one-year-old cutie who was "A house divided" - Half Jayhawk and half Wildcat. Her outfit was literally split down the middle! She had no idea what was going on though.

That's because kids are dumb. They're usually clueless.

We strolled around our weekly farmers market last night as a way to check out costumes, both kid and adult. One of the more creative ones was a guy (probably a college student) with a working TV on his head.

My son had a basketball game yesterday evening and my 4 yr old kept saying he was going to miss "all the Halloween fun", so my wife lkeft early to take him to a few houses. It's funny because after about 4-5 houses, he is done and ready to eat candy!

Plus when you are 4 and cute, people give out the candy by the handfuls!

I came across some pretty disparaging comments to others on the site from the TAN 201 thread...

Reading TAN, I have no issues with TAN...I don't want to have issues with TAN (cuz then I have to read them!)...so please don't continue namecalling out other people on the site through it.  It is most certainly un-helpful.

I'm trying hard to work through some issues that Fred's thread brought up...so namecalling other 'groups' on the site doesn't help at all to foster the community that everybody seems to want.

TANks.

We didn't see a whole lot of costumes out and about last night, but there was one guy in full Beetlejuice costume at the restaurant we went to dinner at last night... I guess he could use it as a Robin Thicke costume tonight!

Just a question, but when did trick-or-treating start happening NOT on October 31st but on whatever weekend day is closest to the 31st?  Is this a new thing, or has it been happening for years and I've never noticed?

Thanks for checking in, Ron.

I've taken a hard look at my past posts and will own up to some less-than-positive comments. Some were inside jokes between friends, some were vents and frustrations to my friends. Yup, maybe it should have all moved to PM to not offend anyone - I will own that. I can appreciate others bringing it up to better the community, but what I have an issue with is the direct antagonizing that's began. Say your peace, agree to disagree, PM a mod if you have to. But what's moving toward personal attacks and intentional provoking is disturbing - certainly not the "change" I'd hoped to see.

I'm making an effort. Let's move on.

(and because I don't care

Tony - I have showed your post about kids being dumb to my kids via e-mail.....they have showed it to their teacher......I don't know what's going to happen next, but I wanted to warn you......because it's bound to be dumb.  I think you'll be banned from somewhere.

Carry on.

I don't like it either!!  It would be like having Christmas on the 22nd or something just because it fell on a weekend.  Um.. NO!  That's not how this is supposed to work!!  Halloween night is October 31st dammit!
