Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread Hey, Bad Omens team!!! Looks like folks are putting up some good numbers...congrats!!! I made 10.2 of my 30 for the first week of October. This coming week will be a little light with recovering and resting up for my bike ride next weekend, but I'll have my 30 done by Halloween, no worries! Go be scary (scary fast, that is)! Kristen |

Pro 4541 A farming town in MN | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread Cat, great news from the doc. Hope the knee and the elliptical are treating you right... Well, I'm behind (and NO, I don't want anyone to SEE my behind in spandex, so with that said)...I'll kick it up a notch this week. I'm traveling to Cincinnati tomorrow and Wednesday, but there's always the treadmill in the hotel. Taper on Thursday and Friday, and will get in the 13.1 miles on Saturday. Wish us luck... Have a great week all, and sorry for being AWOL... I'll try to show up here more regular like, once the work schedule slows down a bit... |

Master 1397 Granvile, Ohio | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread TexOma - 2007-10-08 8:40 AM Hey Cat, if we are supposed to total miles every Monday, I suppose that includes Monday's miles. So tnickerson, please don't total this weeks miles until tonight/tomorrow. I'm going to try to run again tonight. Not a big deal, we'll include them in next week's numbers. BTW, next week's numbers will include today through next Sunday. Good luck getting out there tonight! |

Pro 4541 A farming town in MN | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread O.K., Monday afternoon confession: I'm in a training funk...biking outside helps me get out of the funk (since I enjoy biking). That's why I went and biked 21 miles on Saturday instead of running 7 when my wife felt a twinge in her knees. O.K., now that that's out... Quick brick today...7 miles on the trainer (there's that biking thing again) and then a quick 3.6 miles (OF RUNNING) on the treadmill... Keep the ribbing coming guys. To me, it's a MOTIVATOR! Hope to get in an additional 21 miles this week which would put me at 28/40 miles (70% of goal)... |

Master 1404 Atlanta, Ga | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread I had a good week last week, and ended up even doing an unscheduled race on Sunday. That took me to 36 miles. Mondays are usually my interval days, but yesterday (monday the 8th) was better served as a recovery day. I have 7 planned for tonight. Intervals planned for tomorrow.. then a 20 miler on Saturday morning. If all goes as planned, I will have between 32 and 34 miles for this week. That puts me nicely ahead of schedule. Great job everyone.. and Sparco, what kind of Bad Omen looses running motivation? Did the broken mirror change it's bad luck from 7 years to 5? NO! Did the ladder suddenly say.. "go ahead, walk under me.. you'll be fine"? NO! Are black cats suddenly good luck? NO! ... and you are not losing motivation either.. GET OUT THERE AND RUN!!! Run Run Run, it is Fun Fun Fun.. and when we are done done done, we'll have won won won. Nothing less than winning is acceptable.

Expert 1024 | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread TexOma is BACK, well sort of. I actually ran again today. Only 3.7 miles and my daily quota is 4.03. But at least I only fell behind by less than a mile today instead of 4 miles like the last few days. So if I can keep going then SO CAN YOU!! Get out there and keep running. WE MUST WIN. At a minimum we have to beat the teams that are made up of horses arses. Think of the humiliation if we are beaten by a horses butt! GO BO. Run Lots, get sweaty, get BO so bad the other teams pass out from the smell. Oh, and stay healthy!

Pro 4541 A farming town in MN | Subject: RE: The Bad Omens Team Thread Still alive...back from a business trip with time for just business...no treadmill run...and now it's taper time...2 miles tomorrow and the half marathon on Saturday. Be patient with me...after this weekend's half marathon, I'll be ahead of schedule--62% of my miles completed (25.2/40) with 42% of the month complete. The hard part will be AFTER the half. Plan is to run 21 more miles over the course of the last 2 weeks. Harrassment from the team is encouraged and welcomed (don't want pics of my legs floating around on the internet...)...
