Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Turkey Terrors! So here's where I am at the end of week 2: Run: 27.13miles/45 miles (60.3%) Strength/Core: 5/10 (50%) Weight Loss: 4 pounds/5 pounds (80%) Next week I might have to increase my weight loss goal, but I don't want to do it now and jinx myself. This is the most I've lost in quite awhile! Hope I can keep up the trend. |

Veteran 190 Knoxville, TN | Subject: RE: Turkey Terrors! I hit my swim goal today. I hadn't planned on even trying it, but it was warm enough this morning (50) to go outside to the long course pool and give it a shot. I came in at 59:36, just a hair to spare. At each 1/4 split I would check my watch on the turn, and knew I didn't have any room for slowing down. I can now focus my swim training on getting my HR down for the same speed. KY here I come. Now it is time to get that 10k time taken care of. I think I might give it a shot on thanksgiving morning before I stuff myself with turkey . Safari is not supported, but it still works. (I hope) I tried to enter my swim goal, and it looks to have worked. Edited by nhmorgan 2007-11-18 11:51 AM |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Turkey Terrors! November Challenge - Week 2 Results November is now 60% completed. Are you meeting your goals? Even though we're organized into teams, your goals for the November Challenge are really INDIVIDUAL ones. Therefore, I'm listing the results by INDIVIDUALS this week. That way, everyone will know exactly where they stand. There's a good chance that I missed someone, so if you're supposed to be on a list but aren't -- well, it wasn't intentional. (My eyes started to cross after awhile.) If your name is missing, please DO brag about your progress with your teammates, so you can get the congratulations that you deserve. I am headed to the in-laws place as well. Planning for 1 bike ride, and running nearly every day until the end of the month in order to hit my goal. I did it to myself by slacking too much in the beginning of the month. Happy Turkey day everyone! |

Member 28 Newport News, VA | Subject: RE: Turkey Terrors! Happy Turkey Day, Turkeys!!! I'm headed to my parents house tonight...8.5 hour drive that we won't be starting until 6pm. I have such a good hubby. He's doing most of the driving. FUN DAY today! I went for a swim this morning, then headed to the gym for a spin class, then immediately hopped on the treadmil for a little jog. I already have arrangements to hit a local gym this weekend while we're away. AND, they have a pool! So excited. Even if it is kinda rough fitting all my goals in towards the end of the month. Gotta be careful with the gym workouts though. I think I overdid it with my cable chest press and pec fly...rotator cuff feels aggravated. Just wiping off the kitchen caused sharp pain. Hence, no gym workout yesterday. Any ideas on fixing this? |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Turkey Terrors! joebowler - 2007-11-16 12:18 AM Hey Team. I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop out of the challenge due to medical reasons. I've been feeling a little dizzy during and after a few of my runs lately so the doc wants me take it easy until they can run some tests in a couple of weeks. It was probably just dehydration but considering my family history and my heart murmur I don't want to take any chances. So no running for me at least until the 27th. Who would have thought I'd get bummed about not being able to exercise. Joe Hi Joe, Hope you feel better soon! Dee |
