I've just got one question, and it might sound odd.  Do people (not singling you out here) believe that they will only find good people who are associated with a church and that people outside the church can't be just as good of people who are in the church?

For example, I'm pretty much agnostic, but I go to church.  If someone thought I'd share their beliefs with them, they would be surprised to hear what I truly believe.

Some of my very dearest friends are atheists. Good people DO exist outside the church.

x2. I have plenty of non-Christian friends. But for the purposes of finding serious relationships/marriage, it's a different story. Just casual dating is less of an issue - though, as I said, the no-sex thing doesn't go over well with most guys. Heck, it doesn't even go over well with most Christian guys!

This post. Disappointing.

What's a candy pumpkin?

It is FAR superior to the candy corn. It is made of the same stuff, but in the shape of a pumpkin. So it is larger and more delicious.

I feel that the sheer mass of them results in a smaller surface area to mass ratio.  Hence, they don't dry out as fast.

There is nothing worse than a dried up candy corn - that's what I always say...

You expect some candy corn goodness, and end up with a small rock...

This is true! The pumpkins are more luscious and juicy than the candy corn.

For example, I'm pretty much agnostic, but I go to church.  If someone thought I'd share their beliefs with them, they would be surprised to hear what I truly believe.

No, it doesn't have anything to do with people at church being "better" than people not at church. But if someone, like me, wants to date and ultimately marry a Christian guy, church is a pretty good start. Sure, there are Christian guys who don't regularly attend a church, but they're pretty hard to find "out there". Not saying I'm not looking "out there", but it's just harder to find, and also a hard subject to broach. The whole "by the way, do you believe in Jesus? And also, we're not going to have sex any time soon" isn't quite easy. The odds are far better that the guys who regularly attend my young adult service are also Christians. And not saying that there aren't guys who come who aren't. But do you get what I mean?

Hm...just a personal thing, but at this point I don't see the value of limiting my choices by saying "You must be a _____________."  Probably a bit different due to my personal beliefs.

Bah, religion talk trumped candy korn speak.  I hate it when that happens.

Whenever I get in to a good CK convo, god always comes up...  I think it's because candy Korn gooness IS next to godlyness...

I think it says that too, in Genesis 1:27 vs 2.0.  "in the evening of the 7th day, after god created man in his image, realized man needed treats, god said let there be candy korn, and god saw that this was good."

I'm sure it's there.

I did - not really excited about a pool tri - is that the one that runs around the Rose Bowl?  Desert doesn't bother me too much, but it will be Steph's first time in Cali - so she will also want to do some touristy things.

I ate half the bowl of candy corn they had out at reception while I was waiting for my massage yesterday. People were staring. It was great. I even dropped one and then ate it.

Should I have yet another cherry Pop Tart? I'm ravenous now that I'm, uh, out and about again.

Okay, how is this for a subject change - I think I just saw my replacement come out of the CFO's office. She didn't look like an architect, and I don't think they're hiring anyone new for accounting...

I probably have two more weeks here...haven't found anything yet

5 second rule.  It's all good...

In fact, I think for Candy Korn, and it's immunity to picking up lint and dust, the rule as been expanded to a good couple days instead of just 5 seconds....

have you ever tried Mrs. May's Trio Bars?  They are nuts, seeds and fruits.  Kosher, vegan and no trans fat.  It is like a hard, crunchy bar type deal that is all stuck together, but is not sticky on the fingers.  They come in Strawberry, blueberry, cranberry and tropical.  They are good.  Not for Pre-race.  High in fiber.

I am looking at a strawberry one and the first five ingredients are Cashews, Almonds, Pistachios, Strwaberries, Sesame seeds, followed by Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, Dates, raisins and then rice malt.
