We'll see how this goes. She hope it will help get rid of her migraines. I am open-minded. It is just that she does this regarding other things she sees on TV. This morning she saw something about how dirty kitchens are, so I wont be tooo surprised if I find a black light unit that she bought today when I get home. I'm fascinated by the gluten-free craze. Have you seen this? The gluten-free line was my favorite. HA! That is funny. I like this one too. My mother and both sisters are celiac. Since my mom was confirmed in Dec, I've cut back my wheat intake. My diet used to be very wheat centric. The change has made a difference in some abdominal pains I used to experience. |

Thanks for all of the supportive messages as I grieve the end of the football season. Good news is, I'm saving lots of money and empty calories by NOT having a Superbowl party. Sunday runs don't have to be as early, either. Ah, well. Always next year. Went through 4 bunches of Kale yesterday. Wow. Who'd a thunk it? It went faster than the egg rolls. What are your best kale recipes? The only thing I have made is kale chips and I actually got sick of them. |

Expert 847![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Brevard, North Carolina | Subject: RE: SWBKRUN -CLOSED DUE TO TRAININGFollowing along in awe and wonder. When I did the shopping yesterday, I found myself checking the source of all of my produce. That's one step in the right direction. Probably 80% of what I buy comes from the produce/meat/dairy areas of the store. Not much processed food in my cart anymore. I grew up on a farm in a very small town. The only fresh produce available at the local grocery was: iceburg lettuce, green peppers, onion, cabbage, carrots, and celery. That's it! Oh, and EVERYTHING closed at 5pm during the week and at noon on Saturday. Seriously though, I tracked everything I ate last week and logged it on the Livestrong "MyPlate" website. I'm doing GOOOOOOD. I've come a long way baby! |

My younger sister has been gluten free because of wheat allergies for years and still raves about what is has done for her digestive health. Since she is the Nurse in the family and married to the Doctor, I assume she knows what she is talking about. All I know is I love the gluten free pancake mix!!!

It was fun to watch a different type of triathlon. A few people from the WTC Kona WC stayed on the 2 weeks and competed. Seeing Lance dazed after crashing was intense. I understand now how he dropped to 29th. While I disliked the music they used the photography was 10 X better than Kona. Although, it must be demoralizing to have a cameraman run and keep up with you while you while you are on the run course. |

They are $600, but you can find a little discount to bring it to $569. My wife is interested in using for after tennis matches and I would use them for training recovery and post race recovery. They seem to be a much cheaper alternative than NormaTech or Recovery Pump (I think that s the name). If they don't work for us I am sure I can resell them on ST. What does the MG think? |

Master 2005![]() Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: SWBKRUN -CLOSED DUE TO TRAININGGary and I have been gluten free for almost a year. Made the change to help with some health problems he was having. Since it's just the two of us, it was easiest for us both to eat the same way. I'm not too strict about it, since I don't really find that gluten bothers me. When we go out I occasionally do have gluten, but the majority of the time and at home I do not. Honestly, I found it to be pretty easy to switch over. The only time it is difficult is when eating in restaurants and there is starting to be more awareness in restaurants as far as offering gluten free options and avoiding cross contamination. For Gary it really has been life changing as many of the digestive and health problems he's had for decades completely disappeared after a few weeks of going gluten free. If he gets even small amounts of gluten by accident he has symptoms right away. I think it's worth trying for a few weeks to see how your body responds if you are experiencing any gluten sensitivity symptoms. You have to be really careful with sauces and any packaged foods because there is gluten in things that you would never expect, and if you are really sensitive to it even getting trace amounts can cause problems. |

Sometimes you have to wonder why people enter into a discussion if they do not want to listen to anyone else's opinion. i sometimes wonder the same thing! odd. It is an interesting discussion though. Lots of pro cyclists use Rotor cranks, which are oval rings that are supposed to reduce the deadspot in your pedal stroke. And amongst the roadies there always seems to be talk of worrying about your pedal stroke. I had someone ride up next to me in a group ride and give me a hard time about how big of a dead spot I had in mine. So people do seem to worry about it. Not sure it really relates to power specifically but if you've got one leg working harder than the other that seems like it could cause you problems.

Redbridge beer doesn’t need to make promises to stand out from the crowd; its very essence sets it apart. Redbridge is made without wheat or barley, so the approximately 3.2 million consumers who are unable to drink beer made with barley due to Celiac Disease or because they follow a wheat-free or gluten-free diet can once again enjoy a great tasting beer. Redbridge is a rich, full-bodied lager brewed from sorghum for a well-balanced, moderately hopped taste.
from this day forward... I RIDE FOR 3.2 MILLION PEOPLE SUFFERING WORLDWIDE!!!!!
thankfully there's redbridge, so i don't have to ride too much though. |

Gary quit drinking beer about 20 years ago (before he knew anything about gluten) because he always got a terrible headache and felt sick when he drank even a bottle. After he went gluten free and found RedBridge (there's a couple other brands too) he was a VERY happy man. |

Subject: RE: SWBKRUN -CLOSED DUE TO TRAININGI stand corrected on the gluten-free! Sounds like it can really make a big difference for people.
I'm not giving up good bread either, though. |
