My husband thinks I am a sheep, but I am all in favor of the people who are charged with protecting us having all the power they need to do it.Is anyone else a little creeped out by "They shut down cell service?" I didn't know they could just blanket an area and shut down the cell service in that area only... Pretty Powerful that "they" can do that. I'm not really worried about our government having this ability.. but can you imagine if the North Koreans had that power? They probably do. The Great Leader knows all and can do all. |

HAHAHAHA Fave Boston memory: my sister and I were so stoned on a Saturday night--I mean, watching late-night TV without changing the channel stoned. We saw the commercial "what would you do for a Klondike bar" and all of a sudden got horrid, unquenchable Klondike bar munchies. If you noticed, it ain't the worst part of Boston, but it sure ain't the best, either, especially around 2am on a weekend night. My sister (who lived there!) was too scared to go to the 24-hour store two blocks down so she sent ME. I was 16! (Okay she was 20. Whatever). She said, "people will just think you're me. You'll be fine. I'll watch you from the window!" I was so stoned that on the return trip I DID NOT NOTICE ... get this ... AEROSMITH going down the street in a stretch limo, with Steven Tyler wahoo-ing out the sunroof. My sis has pics. It's crazy. |

I realized yesterday when I broke down sobbing at my desk after Salty checked in that I am no longer going to refer to you all as my "friends." (with air quotes). You are my friends. Veteran 659 East Texas | Subject: RE: Mad Mutant Manatee Mentors 4--CLOSED Well on a positive note: I had a fantastic ride today. Galveston really built my confidence back that my IT Band is healed and I can go harder now. I rode harder this morning than I have in a while and averaged 19.2 on the bike for about 20 miles. That's a very nice speed PR for me!! I'm finally getting faster |

I had a similar experience this morning, the chills, the tears, and the fears. And my race shirt is on as well. Which is a bit of a challenge, since it is under my work shirt and tie. And the A/C is fried at work today. I have removed the tie, and the collared shirt may be next. |

Although I prayed for you occasionally before, you've firmly parked yourself in the F spot for my praying through the alphabet on long rides and runs. Especially since you shared about missing your dad and it hitting you again--or even as if for the first time--after a few years. |

I am still kind of in shock by it--going from depressed about the state of mind of people who do that, to mad that it happens. Its just unbelievable. What does impress me is that people who run/do tris are making sure that others are okay--such as people on this site--That is truly inspiring.... Kate, HUGS. Happy Birthday! I'm so sorry that I forgot yesterday. |

I realized that's all I ever wear, pretty much. Wearing my IMNZ polo shirt at a business meeting right now. Rock on, runners and all who love them. Do I get extra points for wearing two race shirts? It's only because I grabbed a long-sleeved one. Glad I did. My lab is like a freezer today. My fingers are stiff and it kind of hurts to type. |

I can swim and bike, but not run. Went for a slooow jog last night, but it hurt afterwards, and I have ice on it now. I'm going to have to take a couple weeks off from running to make sure nothing more significant happens. Dude...sucks! I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better soon. |
