The day AFTER I got my shiny new US license a friend noticed that my last name was spelled incorrectly - how I didn't catch that, I have no idea - so I was REALLY hoping that when I went back to have it corrected I'd get to redo my picture... no such luck.  I still look like a criminal.

Good morning all you TAN lovers

Although the term TAN still confuses me, I do find myself dropping by quite often to see what the new 'chit-chat' is.

Haha! I had people not believe me when I'd give them my old ID. One kid even asked me if I was "sure" and told me I looked much better in person.  Ummmm....yeah, sadly, I'm sure and thanks?

HA!  I don't know that I've got any ID where I don't look like a criminal, so I guess it's a good thing if I look better in person?  

My Green Card picture is even worse... I had no idea that one of the 8 'passport style' pictures I had to submit for my GC application wasn't going to be used for the card so when I went in to be fingerprinted I didn't really care and threw my hair into a ponytail.  Guess which photo is on the card?  

I had a shaved head for 8 years, and now I have a full head of hair so I get some funny looks when I go through the TSA at the airport.

Them- "Something looks different."

Me- "Yeah, I used to shave my head"

Them- "Ohh, I see now."

Quite the sharp tacks, aren't they?

What if you had the same conversation with the X-ray operator?

I live in a cube farm at work.  It sucks.  I've shown work-environment etiquette websites, but the Managers don't give a shat, don't want to deal with employee noise and personnel issues.  Pizzes me off royally.

Welcome to my world.

I swear my two co-workers conduct every phone conversation on speaker phone. And their cell phone ringers are set to "I am deaf so need the loudest ringer available".

And the other day one was testing some new video-conferencing software and said "can you hear me now" probably 500 times. I nearly punched him in the face. DUDE go to a conference room when you know you're going to be doing that crap!

the managers have offices - they don't realize how bad it is at times!!
