Oops...so later today I checked the rolldown and for men's 40-44 they corrected the results and the 12th place finisher got that last spot. Very weird though, they definitely had the 118th place up there yesterday! I saw it and read about it on Twitter too!

Great job Ironmen.  Keep the race reports coming, they are great to read.  So when are you planning on taking off your wristbands?  I am starting to grow attached to mine.....

I cut my wrist band off yesterday- the black writing was starting to fade and I didn't want to all fade off so cutting it off was my best option    My CDA wristband will be put to rest with my other 2 IM wrist bands

Glad I'm not the only one!  Going to keep it on until it gets annoying.  It's my first IM and I'm gonna ride this wave of excitement.

Have a great and safe weekend everyone!

First workout post-IM last night.  5 miles at my "home" course on the lake.  Felt great - the benefits of the shuffle, shuffle run / walk of the IM marathon.  OWS tonight at La Jolla Cove.  Great White warnings be damned!

Oh yeah, and for those who haven't seen it, I finally posted my race report.  Just a warning - it is LONG.  I'm looking forward to reading everyone else's reports.

Have a great holiday weekend!  Came around at just the right time, no?

After all the talk about the amount of climbing on the bike course, what did you think? How much climbing did you record?

I used the Garmin Edge 500 and came up with just about 4600 ft. of climb for the entire bike course.

That is exactly the same as my Polar bike computer (4600 ft).

Awesome poster!

How is week two post IM treating all of you?  Just got my bike back from transport on Thursday, looking forward to my first ride tomorrow.  I've never felt so flat on runs and have no spring in my step.  Hopefully this will work its way out soon.

I have 3 friends doing a local half IM July 31.  Its probably not the best idea, but think I'll be registering this week.

x2! Great poster!!!

Yeah, no spring in my step either. Finally was able to do a swim but have not been able to get on the bike (kid schedule). Dying to, though!! Was gonna do a local sprint tri this weekend but have NO desire plus a kiddo with an all-day swim meet, so that takes precedence for sure. I continue to sleep a ton and wonder where the line is between laziness/lethargy and "recovery."

Just finished my first bike ride post IM CDA...a great one it was. Wish I could have felt that strong the day of the race! Not that I'm complaining. I'm feeling great since the race, other than I think I've become molecularly bonded to my bed. I've been having some epic sleeps. Once these damn toenails finish falling off, I'm raring to start working on my run. Nice 2 mile swim tomorrow morning. IM AZ awaits!Hope everyone is enjoying their post race R&R...-John

I have the same problem!  At first I was sleeping all the the time plus at least a nap, if not 2, per day.  Then I started to have issues falling asleep and I started back with some light activity and felt fine.  But this weekend the sleep is hitting me hard again. I did an easy 3 miler earlier today and afterwards I came home and napped.  And the nap wasn't enough for me- I've been tired ever since the run.  Ugh- I'm ready for the tiredness to subside.  I'm ready to feel strong again and get in some good quality workouts.  But I'm not going to rush it either.

Glad I'm not the only one who isn't back to form yet.  Swimming seems back to normal, but as some have said, running is still well behind the curve.

Don't know if you heard about this, but there is a local artist who takes a ton of photos each year as a non-official photographer.  Someone gave me his business card before the race, and I was checking out some of his shots today.

Very nic!  He has some nic good shots of individual racers, but also some very nice 'race environment' shots.  (Some of the aerial shots are cool!)  I was able to find both a bike and a finish chute picture of myself.  An even nicer suprise was finding that's only asking $5 for a 5x7 print.

This isn't an ad for him -- I don't know the guy from Adam.  But I thought I'd share this info, in case others want to check for their own pics.

I found my finish line picture!  When I have the time I'm going to look through the bike/run pics to see if there's any of me. I'd rather order from him- he's much cheaper.

Thanks for the link to the pics!  I found a couple of good ones.

I seem to be pretty much recovered. Haven't been swimming all that much, but I've done a few hard runs with some tempo work and a couple of club rides with brick runs off the bike.

Getting ready for a couple of local sprints and then Lake Stevens 70.3 in about a month.

What's up next for you all?

Great BT'er sign!  Alot of profile names on there!  Unfortunately I missed the sign on the course.

Thanks for passing over the website with the additional race photos.  Another great option!  I need to get a few of them ordered.

I am feeling pretty good all in all.  I did the Spudman olympic triathlon (yes, an Idaho thing) here in Boise this past weekend.  I felt pretty good and did well!  The recovery from the Ironman has not been as bad as I thought it would be.  Although the first week I was very sluggish and tired.

Another 1-2 tri's during the next month and 3 marathons during the September-October time frame.  I hope to sign up for both Ironman Canada and Ironman Arizona for next year.  Perhaps some of you will do the same?  I have the bug!

Thank you so much for posting this. I saw the top of the sign on the run but wasn't able to make out the smaller writing. So sweet

That sign is great- I did not know about the signs until the day before the race, I have the sign my hubby made me and the kids made in my office... I get all choked looking at pictures of them holding the signs on race day. My 5 yr old son even had a blister from holding his sign all day!! Thank you to whomever made that for your support!!

CONGRATS ALL OF THE BT FINISHERS.  ANYONE HAVE WONDERFUL PRAISE OR STORIES OF NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE OF HOTELS, HOUSES RENTED, OR B&B stayed in last year?  Trying to be ahead of the curve on booking for 2011.  Looks like it will be me, my better half, and my oldest princess.

The Hampton Inn at the Riverstone complex was top notch. I stay at a lot of HIs and this was one of the nicest I've been too. Free breakfast which they started extra early on race day and they were very accomodating to racers the whole time. It is about 2 miles from transition. Kids loved the indoor pool and I loved the hot tub after the race.
