![]() | ![]() Yeah, I agree you both need several new jerseys. Ryna: Do they only put the good stuff on early in the morning and then cycle through crap for the rest of the day, or was that just yesterday? That was the first time I got on there. Was able to pick up a set of pedals really cheap, but nothing really worthwhile came on after that. |

![]() Rynamite - 2008-06-18 7:42 AM Cat and Wurkit, I'm pretty sure you both need a new jersey.
Go buy one from chainlove so we can see what's next Ooh, that actually is really cute and a unique color that would look hot with my tan (not to be confused with TAN)- but as it looks as though I am going to have to pony up for some furniture, I need to curb my spending...the roommies own basically all the furniture in the house. |

Good luck finding the new furniture and new roommates. I know both of those can be a pain in the butt to find. I almost wish I worked at a furniture store right now, with the amount of furniture I've seen at the curb in the last few days I can only imagine that somewhere furniture salespeople are making a lot of money. Hopefully everyone had insurance, and insurance is footing the bill for the new stuff. |

They had some MTB shorts in the middle of the night, then some road shoes early this morning. The womens stuff just sits idle for ever most of the time too. |

The one nice thing about purchasing furniture is that most places offer some good 0% financing deals, but for the love of all things holy, do NOT miss a payment. I'm a big fan of taking advantage of zero/low intrest financing, but having the money in the bank to pay it off if need be. So you're kinda gaining interest on their money. Of course, they're not stupid. Enough people miss a payment and end up paying 23%, which is retroactive to what they've already paid. Plus, I'm sure they figure out what the interest would have been at a certain percentage, and mark the item up that amount... or close to it...or more. It makes me feel like I'm beating the system though, so I do it. Considering the markup already in furniture, I doubt they really mark it up much more for the financing. Plus the store wasn't going to be involved with the financing anyway, so they just have some company taking all the risk. |

![]() Hopefully, I won't have to spend much at all, if the new two roommates have furniture. It WOULD be nice, though, to invest in a few quality pieces, since I don't have anything and I'm 27 and feel like I should have some nice things of my own. But the question is, do I save myself some serious coin and go the Ikea/Craigslist route, or just look for some killer deals at actual stores...hmmm Edited by wurkit_gurl 2008-06-18 7:37 AM |

It's stylish, it's affordable, and it's decent quality considering the price. However, it's not like you're gonna be able to keep it forever... but... who really wants to keep furniture forever anyway? That was my thought. I'm not going to keep it forever, but it would at least get me through the next few years. They have some nice, comfortable couches, and I love that most of them have slipcovers that you can take off and wash. I have some bookcases and a cute end table from there that I love that were cheap, sturdy and easy to assemble. |

I've never really looked into it, but I head that they do have nice stuff. |

I've never really looked into it, but I head that they do have nice stuff. Well, it is one of a few options I am considering. But if I want to get new, reasonably priced stuff, it's probably my best bet. I have to see what the potential roommies have to offer b/c if they have couches and a kitchen table that they need to put somewhere, I won't need to get anything right now. |

![]() Now the other question that remains to be answered...do I move upstairs and take the Master bedroom? All three rooms are approximately the same size, however, the two upstairs have more closet space. And the two upstairs have bathtub/showers, whereas mine only has a shower. A bathtub for ice baths would be nice. Closet space is a teeny bit bigger in those two rooms. I kind of have the basement all to myself since my roommies currently do not use the den, which I've basically co-opted as my "training" room, where my bike trainer is. But the basement is cold all year round and the bedroom is right under the kitchen so you can hear everything. And there are spiders - lots of spiders. However - it's such a freaking hassle to remount curtains and wall fixtures, etc. Esp. the wall cabinet I have in my bathroom, which my dad had to install. (I'm pretty handy with tools, but didn't want to risk it falling off the wall and taking the drywall with it). We all pay the exact same amount in rent, so there is no difference in cost-per-room as they're all basically the same size. And I will probably leave it that way. |
