Houstonrider - 2010-01-21 2:19 PM On a side note, I had a check up with my new doctor and guess what???????/ There is a bike shop right around the corner (walking distance). They had Felt, Orbea, Guru, and Cannondale Tri/tt bikes. I got a bunch of brochures now I just need to start laying them around the house to give the wifey the hint.

I gave the hubby a hint:  he came home and me and the bike were in teh bedroom together

Holy Hot Tribikes Batman! Very nice choice... yes, some bike porn is definitely in order.  Congrats and enjoy all your wonderful time together!

Trin2bfast - 2010-01-21 2:18 PM Nice Cheri!  You are welcome to get off the dreadmill and come down here and enjoy this awesome running weather we have today! Ha, sorry... the dreadmill has its purpose.  Good job building the milage & I hope any aches & pains have faded.

New bike? do tell... or did I miss that in the previous 46 pages I missed... I saw Kel's bike, but where's your mighty steed?

No pic yet, this weekend I will get some.  I am the proud mom of a Blue T-17 Tri-bike   Brought home on 1/19/10 at 6:32pm.  All are doing well and YES, its sleeping with me in the bedroom right now (set up in the sitting area of the master bedroom).

I agree!

Too bad Eric and I are missing out on Lonestar (more important things going on at the time).  I would like a play by play afterwards though!

I think I'm leaning towards the specialized transition. After this summer I think I will be ready to upgrade and harvest what my seeds have sowed.

Trin2bfast - 2010-01-21 2:26 PM All good choices... decisions, decisions!  I have a new obsession with the Fuji D6 Pro... That is my flavor of the week.  It changes rather often though.  Good luck planting those seeds... let the other seed planter/cultivators know how that goes... lol!

X2 that reminds me of my college roommate that ate raw ramen because he was too lazy to heat-up water and our microwave had its problems.  Needless to say he drank a ton of water because he sprinkled the power on the noodles and chomped away..  nasty..  cooked ramen yummy..

KelliD - 2010-01-21 1:43 PM I'm having flashbacks to my sophmore yaer of college where I experimented with cooking just about anything & everything in the microwave.  I also have eaten Ramen since then   PBJ on the other hand.....

Emmanem - 2010-01-21 1:01 PM You people and your fancy meals... Wooohoooo Ramen for the second time in 24 hours!!!

Note: The second sentence should be read with extreme sarcasm as this college student would love a real home cooked meal instead of heatable meals.

I love this bike talk..  I have a large dollar credit at a bike store and I'm waiting for them to lower their old stock of cervelo's or BMC's down 20%-30%.  Only problem is they know they have me trapped!  So maybe within the next month or two I might have a new TT bike.  I have a BMC slc01 now that I love.  I actually rode on the CT today (even thought the pc part doesn't work correctly yet) and forgot how much more I sweat on the trainer vs outside.   I had bucket and buckets of sweat.

Purty blue bike.

I love the trash talk going on.... good times.

You will all be happy to know Keri is in a much better mood, the pitty party is OVER.  I don't usually take curves that hard but it just seemed like a lot was going on at once.  Anyway.... the girls and I had a great time at a literature based homeschool coop today then off to HEB/Central Market before a picnic in this perfect weather!  Gotta love it!

I'm starting to wonder if I could pull off the Gateway Oly.  I mean if JP can do it Laughing  Maybe, just maybe I could pull it off.  It's a thought.  Are they still planning on taking people off shore and kicking them off the boat to start?

Go ahead rub it in!  I'll drive by the park and throw things at ya!   as I am headed to my second job!  I knew I should've been an engineer!  Ha!    Enjoy the loop!  Is that bike work we did that time... is that 8 minute threshhold, 2 minutes easier x 8?  Need to work that into my cycling!

It's a rare sunny day here in Oregon, totally unexpected, and I so want to go ride.  But...have to stay here as someone is coming over about renting out the house so I can move to Tucson.  I guess the trade off is worth it but gosh darn it, bad timing on that sun thing.  (It's been so long since I have seen it it is kind of blinding.)

I'm saving that goodness for me so I have a lead and skinny ole you can't run me down!

For threshold. 3-6 repeats of 8-10' each w/1-2' rest between, you should be breathing hard the last 1/3 of each interval...

You new bike owners are making some of us REAL jealous. I'm scheming in ways I'm quite sure my wife would not appreciate (e.g., sell some climbing gear. Sell the scooter. Sell the cat. Sell plasma. Even, God forbid, sell one of my other bikes!).

That sounds like a good reason to miss the sunny day though, AZ has pretty nice weather and Tucson is awesome for triathletes! I think that's where trisports.com has its store too, that'd be a bad thing for the bank account...
