How can it possible be the end of the year?

Anyone have their 2023 intentions set?

Every year I get older and every year goes faster. How does that happen?

I don't usually make resolutions, but I can get on board with "intentions". I have a few of those: get my leg healed; get my nutrition back on track (this one is a carryover from every month of 2022); embrace the swim; early year short run races (assuming I get my leg injury healed in time); don't slack on the bike workouts; take an Irish class; and win the lottery.

Do you have your intentions set?

You had me at “take an Irish class”. Are thinking of learning to speak Irish?

I have a few intentions. I usually choose a word for the year and play off of that. 2022 was “joy” meaning do all things that bring joy. Triathlon was one of them so I brought it back into my life. This year I’m continuing with that word and adding simplify. Trying to declutter & simplify my life so I have more time to pursue thing that bring me joy! ??

Happy New year!No resolutions and no intentions here. We are just playing by ear. I have some secret ideas, but I amntoo superstitious to say them out loud.

New years intentions. I have seen a few impressive lists of goals for 2023 posted by others on FaceBook. Some of them had goals that I had on my goal list in the past, but didn’t achieve (i.e. USAT AG All American, Boston Qualifier, Sub-5 70.3, etc.). I don’t have any of those types of goals. My intentions are more around gaining knowledge and helping others. I volunteered to lead a 12-week Winter Cycling group for the Kiwami Racing team. We have about 15-20 that are committed to the group training so my goal it to keep 1-2 weeks ahead of the group on my knowledge of training with power so I can keep the group progressing. I have the Boston Marathon as my A race and it seems to be in the way of all the spring triathlon/multisport events I want to do so I feel like I may just focus on learning through the winter cycling group, through the TriDot group which I am going to try again from February to March, and from working with a 6-7 people in my running club who will all be running Boston with me. No goal times, no pressure, just enjoying what I am doing and learning what I can along the way.
