thebigb - 2012-04-13 10:01 PM Morning/Night TAN!  Everyone get enough rest and we're all tranquil once again around here?

Lots of rest, tranquil, if not healthy.

Your hot friend contacted me. You did warn her I'm psycho, right?

Nope but I didn't warn you that she's psycho either  Hi Yanti!

Hi Cheri!

Sup Cord!

Small pity party- shoulder is aching this morning (guessing the weather?) more so than the last couple of days.  Going to have to suck it up and get running.

Some work in our miniature garden tomorrow and a long run.

I'm going for a short run then working in our big yard.

There are some days I'd like to have a bigger yard to work in, but then I think about how much time it would take away from everything else.  This works for now.

I would love to have a bigger yard and more land to do things with, but yeah.. I'd hate the added work that comes with it.
Although, it'd give me an excuse to trade in the push mower for a riding mower - so it's not all bad

Great night sleep, good morning workout and met my favorite boss for coffee and girl-talk (sure it was painful for him) but he is such a good listener!

Yay Cheri chapstick ... sounds great!

Hi TAN!

I got silly drunk last night with some work people, got home way too late on a school night and had to be at work early this morning to take care of some things... though I've been home since about 10:30 as the movers are here to ship almost all of our stuff to Chicago.

Now we get to live on a futon mattress and out of suitcases for 3 weeks - kinda reminds me of college!

Hahaha, me too!

Glad you're in bad shape for GOOD reasons

Hello my Yantilicious!  {{{TANGEMELON PRESSES}}} to you!

I'm pretty sure I was still drunk when I woke up this morning, but lots of water and pizza of the food variety have helped immensely.  I'm really not fond of this whole working from home thing though as I'll have to go into the office over the weekend to get stuff done.  Oh well, it was probably going to be somewhat of a lost weekend anyways as Tony's stag do is Saturday and I should probably be close to home to bail him out of jail if necessary.

Yanti, you're psycho in a "that was fun" kinda way.  Not the "hide the sharp utensils" kind.Laughing

Actually, when I really go psycho, it's definitely the latter

However, thankful, 99.999% of the time, it's the former.

Oh and the double J's have 9 baseball games this weekend, that are 1 hour in driving distance away from each other.  So lots of field time for me and my ex.

I routinely finding us enjoying are time together now that we "moved on".

Morning TAN. Up 3 times last night with a puking dog. Poor guy I hope it was something he ate and not a symptom of something worse.

It's a many-cups-of-coffee morning for me!

I'm doing very well Yanti.  Body has recovered from last week's 50k, and now it is on to S/B/R training.  Always good to get back in the water.

Happy Friday TAN!

Sunday is supposed to be first HIM of the season and if it rains they will make it a Duathlon.

Not cool at all.  I didn't think I had to pray for no rain in Phoenix, but apparently I do!

But I'm on top!

Yep sounds like it's going to be a DU this weekend.  I'll be out at ONE's run aid station under the bridge.

I am stupid.

After not eating today, I thought homemade doughnuts would be a good idea.

Except I lacked enough wheat flour, so I substituted some oat flour.

Then I actually ATE the result.

Got another scolding by my boss last night. I forgot to turn in my "weekly activity report" in time so he said he sent it up the chain without mine, and I need to put a reminder on my calendar so I get it done each week (this is in addition to a daily status meeting and a weekly staff meeting - this weekly activity report).

I said I do have a reminder on my calendar but I often get distracted by actual work.

MEH!

You're thought process confounds me. If I go without eating for a day, my first though is usually ordering pizza, getting sushi, or whining until my hubby goes and gets something. Actually making donuts sounds like a ton of effort.

What was bad about the oat flour? Too mealy?

It's okay, my thought process confounds me too. Maybe I'll make some ramen. And I really wanted something salty.

The result was kinda like fried gum. And bitter, for some reason. I think I have to change the amount of baking soda if I'm gonna sub some oat flour, which I will never do again anyway.

I can go for weeks without hearing directly from my boss and even longer without seeing him, and even longer for him to contact me individually. I get cc'd on emails and he is on team calls but he never just calls me or shoots me an email.

Jealousy abounds.
My old manager was like that. He'd breeze in and out, occasionally asking about a project if there was pressure from above. I always got my work done on time and got praised for it. Now it's like I can't get my work done well because I'm spending so much time updating others on what I'm doing. Ugh.

But it's FRIDAY, and I have a date tonight

Be nice ot them as they tend to remember everything!

The movers came and took our sh*t today. On a good note, we are now the owners of two new bike boxes. On a sad note, I leave London in two weeks.
