Judi: I'm a huge stress eater too. Any time I have a big gain, pretty much the reason.

Weigh in day for me and I'm back down to 136.8. Inching closer to my original all time low of 136. Geeze, if I can just break through 136!!

Still no scale here. I haven't found the time to go shopping for one. However, I know I will be up because of the evil hormonal thing.

Stress is one of my downfalls, too. It is better if I can stock the house with tons of ready to eat veggies so I can munch and not have to pay the price.

Ok, how dumb am I?  I just realized I am one of two men in this challenge.  Well, at least the scale dipped down all week long.  Half-marathon tomorrow.  Best wishes to all for a great weekend.

Robin - I'll send you my scale.  I'm ready to throw it out the window anyway.

Moving in the wrong direction here:  stress and hormones are to blame.  Just kind of waiting it out, hoping not to do too much damage before things return back to normal.

Woot, down two pounds today!  I didn't weigh in last week since I had my monthly visitor, but it looks like all the bloat is gone, and I'm at the lowest weight I've been since last year!  I still have a ways to go before I'm back to my pre-injury weight, but I'm getting there.

I haven't weighed in yet but I finished up month 1 of insanity today and wanted to see where I was at with measurements.  I know I've barely lost weight but thought my arms were looking slimmer so decided to take some measurements.  I'm down an inch on my arms (1 in on each arm) and 1.5 inches on my waist.  Hips and thighs are the same but I have a hard time losing weight from my lower body... I think that's the last place I lose weight from. But I'm happy with the results so far especially with how inconsistent the first two weeks were and having surgery in the middle of it all.

Weighed in... same as at the start of the challenge. No suprise there since I haven't been holding up well on the healthy nutrition. I need to get as fit as possible for July, so I might be a little more active on this thread. I took my measurements again today and have great intentions! I ate a great breakfast, walked 8km and biked 14km today. (But ate a terrible lunch and dinner...)

Go here to sign up.  We will just track weights in the spreadsheet but you still need to track your other stats and photos in your blog.

Doing well everyone.  Only 5 of us are over a week due on weigh-in (including me... sorry).  I know some of us weigh 150 every week (including cats), so there is a legitimate excuse there for some.

Progress so far:

Average Weight Loss - 2.5 lbs (Judy and Blanda are really helping our average out)

Many people have at least 10% of their goal weight loss completed.

I had quite a bit of salty soup last night so I am retaining more water than the Hoover Dam.  I'll update my numbers in a day or so.

Keep it up everyone!

Now everything says 148... can I log that as a loss? I PROMISE to buy a new scale this week and update on Friday.

Actually there are three men. Even though my name is more often a women's name (Lynn) I am in fact a man. I hope your HM went well.

Up a little... less than a pound.  I know its from my slip ups in eating this past week.  Just got to get more serious about my eating and I know the weight will come off.

Found out that our calipers are way off... my wife went to the bod-pod on campus and it gave her a much higher number than the calipers did.  Our electronic scale at home was more accurate.... so I tried it out and there was a %10 difference.  grrrrr.... not in the good direction either.  I think that I'll go do the bod-pod in the next few days to get a start point and then follow up at the end of the year to see how I did.

On the bright side, the water at school tastes good today, there is plenty of coffee, and I treated myself to sushi from the stand in the commons area.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful hump day.

I had done the bod pod a few years ago and thought the results seemed high to me... just my anecdotal $0.02.

Anyway - down .2 from last week ... but really, my weight skyrocketed over last weekend (up 3 pounds!) and I've dropped that, so it's all good.  Hormones usually take over my body for 2 weeks every 3 months so I don't pay too much attention to weight until I'm through the worst of it.

Started Hal's advanced 5k program on Monday and it feels really good to have structure to my training again.  I do so much better with a set schedule.

Weighed in this morning.... 201.5, up a little.  I think that I added some muscle as my BF% is down.  Not bad, I guess i get to hold onto clydesdale status for a wee bit longer.

Hi!  So I totally forgot to weigh in on Friday.  I'll update next week.

However, today I noticed my jeans were really loose on me.  So I went into my closet and pulled out a couple of jeans that I used to wear when I was leaner and lighter.  I found not one, but TWO PAIRS of jeans that fit me!  They were still snug, but they both zipped up all the way and buttoned!  I'm thinking they're about 3-5 lbs away from being comfortable!

That's a bit crazy, since I was about 15 lbs lighter when I used to wear those jeans regularly!  I must have put on some muscle since then!  (Either that, or they were loose on me before).  In any case, that's a pretty awesome sign of progress Smile

That;s awesomness!!  Going by how our clothes fit is often more gratifying than a number on a scale since that number doesn't weed out muscle/ water and fat content as accurately as is could.

That is just GREAT. Probably you are indeed losing weight AND changing your body composition.

How is everyone doing?  I am having a hard time getting to the gym for the strength sessions, doing some work from home but it isn't the intensity.  Think I needed the mental back off though.  Just don't want to slack too much.
